Miami Dolphins running back Ricky Williams might miss another season ... and this time it apparently won't be his decision. According to a broadcast report in Miami, which was later confirmed by two sources in a story posted Sunday on the Miami Herald's Web site, the Dolphins running back will be suspended for at least the entire 2006 season after failing a drug test for the fourth time in his career.

Whoops, looks like Ricky's going to take another year off to be with his drugs again. Anybody remember Ditka trading the ENTIRE NO Saints draft for him? Seems like a million years ago.

"Northern California studying yoga and holistic medicine."

I've heard they grow tons of that holistic stuff in Northern California.

The Dolphins will be fine, Ronnie Brown was going to be the starting RB anyway.

You know, I don't know how many posts this thread will get, because what else can you say about it? I found it interesting that you both made the same one word post. Idiot.

When Williams was at UT, you could tell he had a ton of talent, and was also a total head case. The rest of the team surrounded him, and kept the rest out. When he showed up for the photo op with Ditka, wearing the wedding dress, it was apparent the handlers at UT weren't in control of him anymore. I think that's where a lot of college players get spanked at the NFL level. In college, they're far more protected than they know. In the NFL, they're a totally disposable commodity, and they've got tons of money, and lots of hangers on that want a free ride.

Yeah but we loved having Williams as a back-up, especially at the league minimum salary.

I don't know. Bellichek won three championships, and part of his strategy was getting rid of problems with lots of talent.

If Williams does get suspended, it will cost him his entire salary for the year, and if he gets another chance, it will be at a far lower salary. Basically he's proven you can't count on him being there, so you can't pay him like a front line running back.

One thing about Williams, though, unlike many players busted for fighting, assault, etc., he just self-destructs.

He was league minimum? Wow. That marijuana cost him a lot more than $25 a bag.

Oh I believe you. I was just very surprised I never heard about it before, being an Eagles fan. I'd think they city would've collectively sighed a BIG sigh of relief they didn't draft a freak who'd wear a wedding DRESS. That is just revolting.

Oh, I don't think it's Rodman II. Rodman's pretty smart, played the system and got a LOT more money by being a freak. I think Williams is a six year old kid in the Hulk's body. He's going to end up with nothing.
