how do you make buttermilk pancakes from scratch?
I presume it requires buttermilk (which I do not usually stock)...

"I have enriched white GP baking flour, also whole wheat "

Any kind of flour, including those two, will do.

"I do not have baking powder."

Well, there are substitutes, but since you need it for the carbon dioxide, I suggest you use beer.

wait. I use baking SODA and an acidic agent to produce CO2 for rising quickbreads (like Boston Brown Bread)

what's the use of baking POWDER?

ahh... reading now. baking poweder has both basic and acidic dry components, and is flavor neutral, explaining how it can be used in straight milk.

Defined in link above. You have all the ingredients required.

This is the basic principle of my culinary FAX machine. It works like a standard color ink-jet printer, except it sprays out flour, salt, sugar, et cetera to make cookies and brownies one microtomic layer at a time, complete with the infra-red needed to cook it as you go.

"needs means for hydration"

Water would be in one or more of the jets.

The preliminary units might be overlarge, and require frequent maintenance. Subsequent devices should be faster, more reliable, and able to produce edible foodstuffs quickly.

Who knows? You could see a vending machine in a food court, dispensing fresh-baked cookies, mini-pizzas, little cakes, and so forth.

Eventually, they would appear in out of the way places, such as asteroid mining exploration craft.

Your discussion about pancakes made me hungry for pancakes (and I needed to make dinner). But I didn't have the motivation to fry the pancakes. So I made biscuits and gravy instead.
