Two errors that I caught: Alexander Hamilton was born in Nevis, West Indies and NOT New Jersey.
And, the Rutgers-Princeton game was in 1869.

You know that this is the only "New" state that doesn't require "New" to identify it (try . . Mexico . . . York .! . Hampshire-- doesn't work, does it?).
There is a Jersey in the Channel Islands between Endland and France.

Haven't you heard of a "Jersey cow?"

Almost one quarter of the Revolutionary War took place in New Jersey. NJ was the site of more Revolutionary War battles and skirmishes than any other colony. Some of the larger battles that took place here were 1st Battle of Trenton, 2nd Battle of Trenton, Battle of Princeton, Battle of Bound Brook, Battle of Short Hills, Battle of Red Bank, Battle of Monmouth, Battle of Connecticut Farms and the Battle of Springfield.
Many historians argue that the 1st Battle of Trenton was the engagement that saved the American cause during the Revolutionary War.
George Washington "lived" here for almost one quarter of the Revolution, several of his headquarter homes still stand and are open to the public including the Wallace House - Somerville, the Ford Mansion - Morristown and the Dey Mansion - Wayne.

Here is another Jersey fact....
Franklin and Sterling Hill (Ogdensburg) New Jersey have more different and unique minerals than any other location on earth.
