Cat Gives Birth To Mouse-Like Kitten?
(CBS4 News) TUNISIA A cat in Tunisia has given birth to something strange.
According to the owner of the cat, the litter included 5 regular kittens, and one that more resembles a mouse.
The owner says the nose, mouth and ears look like that of a mouse, but the rest of the body is that of a cat.
The mother cat doesn't seem to notice or mind. She's nursing and taking care of it, just like the kittens.

Baby kittens and baby mouse. Likely not from the same womb but cute nonetheless.
I could hardly count the times I have picked up a box in the attic or opened the hood of an old car and scared a mom mouse 75% through labor. Baby mice are all over the place at certain times of the year. What the cats don't get the birds do.

Same here. I think it's a mouse that some Tunisian put among the kittens so he can get his 15 minutes of fame.

"I really have a hard time believing this story."
Well, even more strange things have been chronicled:
"About this time [1512] there lived in the town of Augsbourg a virgin, named Anne, who had arrived at the age of forty years, without eating, drinking, sleeping, or having any natural evacuations! By which it may be known that she was under especial grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, - and she had given herself up to devout contemplation."
See what the devout contemplation leads to.
"Another great wonder was seen in the city of Ravenna, where a monster was born with a horn on its head, wings of a bat, one foot like a bird of prey, the other like a human foot! it had an eye on its knee, and was of both sexes! it had a mark of an Y on its breast, and an appearance of a cross, with a crescent beneath - which signs, according to the philosophers and prognosticators, signify many things!"

That is not a feline... it is a rodent. The paws are not feline... the body certainly isn't.
I think it is a Tunisian Fat Sand Rat (Psammomys obesus), a member of the Gerbil family:

It's a gerbil. Mom brought it stunnedinto the nest to eat and gave birth and then got confused?
