Sorta like those "cowboy drops to horse from building" stunts?

Yes. I guess it had a thing for thrill rides. Once a dog figured it out then it didn't walk by that porch. So it was always an unsuspecting dog that had the privilege.

Actually Lewis is under the Jeep. They are trying to serve the wrong cat. Lewis is Black & White.

I had a tabby who used to run dogs off the property. They just didn't know how to deal with a cat who showed no fear. Of course, he was lucky not to run into a dog who wasn't impressed.

That's a reasonable precaution when dealing with a calico!

One cat in our neighborhood was best friends with a big Chow. We'd often see a dog chasing the cat only to see the same dog running for its life a few minutes later with the Chow in hot pursuit. The cat would just sit nonchalantly in the yard and wait for the Chow to come back and they'd take a nap together.

My precious granddaughter was bitten by a cat on Sunday. If they can't find it, then she'll have to have rabies shots. Her hand is double it's size and she's on antibiotics. Seriously, if you're bitten by a cat, secure the cat and get to the emergency room asap.

FWIIW, my tabby is 23 years old.

And still rules the house (her sister died a few years ago).

The vet said her last blood work looked like it was for a kitten :)

I hope your granddaughter doesn't have to go through that. But God bless her, and give her strength if she must.

I am sorry to hear about your Granddaughter and I hope they find the cat. I would try soaking her hand in very warm salt water several times a day to help the swelling to go down.

Never heard that about 6-toed cats. But I have heard that about Torties. And speaking from experience. I have my 2nd and 3rd torty at home. One is fairly laid back and predictable, but the other is downright loony.
