[Some movie reviews of Sharon Stone's latest "thriller"]
"But most of the conversation in the lobby will revolve around who designed SS's clothes and jewelry. That's the way Ms. Stone wants it, and that's the way it is."
-- Philip Wuntch, DALLAS MORNING NEWS
"Using the same basic plot as 1992's original, BI2 feels less like a sequel than a remake whose shelf life has expired."
-- Bruce Westbrook, HOUSTON CHRONICLE
"The laughs to be had in this deliciously awful sequel are all unintentional. A bummer for film buffs, but a ball for fans of the misbegotten."
-- Peter Travers, ROLLING STONE
"What Basic Instinct 2 is missing, besides any of the trashy good fun of the original, is a subtitle. Here's a suggestion: A Girl's Guide to Dressing for Her Shrink."
-- Ruthe Stein, SAN FRANCISCO CHRONICLE
"At this point, there are inflatable toys that are livelier than Stone, but how can you tell the difference? Basic Instinct 2 is not an erotic thriller. It's taxidermy."
-- Kyle Smith, NEW YORK POST
"Stone's purring, snarling, bedroom kink is embarrassing."
-- Steven Rea, PHILADELPHIA INQUIRER
"The 1992 phenomenon was creepy, tense and sexually charged in a bold yet tawdry way. This sequel lacks even a shred of those elements."
-- Claudia Puig, USA TODAY
"In Basic Instinct 2 the manufactured thrill is gone."
-- Michael Phillips, CHICAGO TRIBUNE
"Stone's performance is so deliriously over the top that it turns almost every line she speaks into high camp."
-- Bruce Newman, SAN JOSE MERCURY NEWS
"As with the first film, BI2 abounds with red herrings and misdirection, and comes up with an equally ambiguous Did she or didn't she? ending. But there are problems here beyond its staleness."
-- Jack Mathews, NEW YORK DAILY NEWS
That's gonna leave a mark.
I like the one by the guy from the Toronto Star: "Even the ice pick looks like it really doesn't want to be there."
some old has been trying to save a dead career..better known as the ted kennedy story

Ouch!
I'll watch the movie with Tom and Crow
Sharon Stone is....what?....60?
Try not to let that person near sharp objects.
48 going on a very trashy 19.
Wonder how many Oscar nominations this one will get.
Yep, years ago after dating country singer Dwight Yoacum, Sharon Stone said kissing Dwight was like eating a dirt sandwich. Wonder if the sting of these reviews for Sharon is a touche for Dwight?
Somebody please tell Stone that she, Hillary and "Miss America" Pelosi are way over the hill and there's absolutely nothing sexy about elderly women.
The sequel...Basic Instinct 3 "the White House Years" starring Bill Clinton and Barbra Steisand
If even the Chronic pans your sex-saturated romp, you know it's gotta stink.

Horrible reviews..
got a 6 out of 100
I liked her in Catwoman.
6% fresh!?!?! Dear God, even Berry's CatWoman got a fresh rating in the teens, IIRC.That is the worst rotten/fresh ratio I've seen there yet.
From the reviews, I guess you could say the film lives up to its title: "Basic Instink 2".
