Kenny After ---------- Kenny Before A humorous site that had folks buzzin' in 2001 was the meme-tacular Men Who Look Like Kenny Rogers. The sheer abundance of kindly-faced, white-haired gentlemen soon made the site a true only-on-the-Web diversion. However, we hadn't heard much from the country legend in the past five years. After a long dry spell in the Buzz, Kenny raced back onto the Search charts thanks to an appearance on "American Idol." But his reappearance on Idol led us to wonder — why does Kenny himself not look like Kenny Rogers anymore? Searches on the tight-faced crooner jumped 312% yesterday after he finished off his two-night stint on Idol. Facing the heightened scrutiny of America's most-buzzed-about broadcast, curious searchers also wondered what the heck happened to the familiar Gambler. Was his shocking countenance the work of an imposter instead of the lovable star of "Sixpack"? Queries on "kenny rogers facelift" and "kenny rogers plastic surgery" swelled from zero into the thousands, and we also saw a lift in searches on "kenny rogers age."
The view beyond Kenny's odd visage shows that searches on American Idol jumped 164% as a rather lame country music week played out. While no prospective Idol shined vocally, searches on countrified contestants Kelly Pickler and Bucky Covington both doubled as they faced music that played to their strengths. Ousted contestant Mandisa (+938%) was done in by her attempt at a Shania Twain tune, a sad way to go out for a woman with so much soul in her voice. Now that we're down to eight, it'll be interesting to see how the Idol hopefuls fare next on a Queen-themed night. Will anyone dare to take on "Bicycle Race"? A fan can only wait and dream...

Yeah, its just not that different. He may have lost a little weight and that tan. Look at the wrinkles closely...no change.

The Wife asked the same thing just yesterday, and he ain't that old, (being his contemporary I speak from a position of knowledge and experience)
(If there was a procedure he looks OLDER afterwords).

I think that's a pretty good assessment. If I had time right now I'd take the beard from one photo and put it on the other. I'll bet he'd look about the same.
A couple of decades ago I tried ot grow a beard. I spent a month or so on it and gave up. I have to shave every day, but when it comes to growing a beard, no luck.
What I did grow made me look so different (and about 15 years older) that I shaved and never looked back.
Some people like Kenny look good with one, and others should get a second opinion. LOL

Looks to me that he went goatee. (Which I think looks horrible on him.) He may have lost a little bit of weight in his face. (His cheeks don't look as "chubby" as they used to.) Looks like he's tanned. (Not necessarily a healthy look for some people.) His teeth have been whitened or veneered. And it looks like he had some work done on his eyes.
Ya know what?
I don't really give a crap if he's had work done or not. If he feels better about himself, and he's healthy, what's to condemn?

During College at Long Beach State I was part of the "Banjo Fiddle and Guitar Festival" organizing committiee for several years. One year Kenny Rogers was one of the headliner's. After the show was over, all performers had been invited to attend a "post show party". He was the only one who came (Linda Ronstadt declined), along with his band and small entourage.
He was a genuinely nice guy, stayed late, joined in on guitar as others sang, even sang a couple himself.
