Sesame Street duo held in crack bust

Sullivan County sheriff's deputies arrested two people over the weekend accused of selling crack out of a Sesame Street apartment.

Sanford McGill, 26, and Lisa Mann, 25, are charged with third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell, a felony.

The sheriff's office said they found about 6 grams of crack, a scale and packaging material during the search of the apartment about 10 p.m. Friday.

During the six-week investigation, the sheriff's office said, undercover deputies bought crack at the apartment.

The two were sent to Sullivan County Jail - McGill on $1,000 bail, Mann on $250 bail. They are due back in Mamakating Town Court tomorrow.

Sesame Street duo held in crack bust

This episode of Sesame Street was brought to you by the number 2, and by the letters C for Crack and F for felony.

Scared me, RK. I thought it might be Bert and Ernie or Zoie and Fozzie Bear.

LOL!

As an LEO, how would you react to the following crackling over the radio: "LA Mary 14, we have an apparent crack deal in progress on Sesame Street, could be the Mexican Connection, over"?

I think that mispent youth of mine is finally catching up to me. I had to read the article several times to find out how Sesame Street figured into this pair's apartment. I had these weird images of the two of them dealing out of an apartment painted in bright primary colors and decorated with lots of stuffed animals, doodle bugs under the radiator, ten banana cream pies, the number of the day, etc. "You've bought TEN, TEN hits of rock..."

Then I read the words "out of a Sesame Street apartment" and slowly it crept into my skull jelly. "Ohhh... they actually LIVE on a Sesame Street..." Then I did a mapquest for all the Sesame Streets in the US and... then realized I seriously need to take up a more productive hobby.

I think I need an MRI, a brain scan, and a bunch of those tests Dr. Hubbard gave Homer when the Simpson "Dumbening" started to take place... I scare myself sometimes...
