Fellow FReepers,

I am looking for search engines other than Google, Yahoo, and MSM. Your suggestions are appreciated.

Thank you, TJI

I most frequently use Ask Jeeves, but perhaps there are other resourceful sites out there.

Go to Google and enter the keyword phrase "Search Engines".

What do you want the search engine to do?

Lately I can't get to dogpile or webcrawler, I tried it with explorer and firefox both. I get a "connection refused" error with firefox. Could google be censoring me? Maybe the Chinese told them I was dangerous.

I have tried several other serch engines but when it comes right down to it, for overall general usage, Google is the best. Like it or not.

I would agree that Google is an affective search engine, but I refuse to support a company that is willing to provide information/access to such a reprenhensible "organization" as NAMBLA.
