(CNN) -- A teenager who died at a Florida boot camp was suffocated by guards who were restraining him, a medical examiner has determined. The teen's mother hailed the findings, saying "the truth is out," but a lawyer for one of the guards accused the examiner of giving in to political pressure. Martin Lee Anderson, 14, died in January after he was restrained and struck by workers at the boot camp for juvenile offenders. No charges have been filed in connection with Anderson's death. Initial autopsy results in February had determined Anderson died from complications from sickle cell trait, which had not been previously diagnosed in the teenage athlete. Hillsborough County Chief Medical Examiner Vernard I. Adams conducted a second autopsy after Anderson's family, other medical experts and civil rights leaders balked at the conclusion of the first examination. "Martin Anderson's death was caused by suffocation due to actions of the guards at the boot camp," Adams wrote. "The suffocation was caused by manual occlusion of the mouth, in concert with forced inhalation of ammonia fumes that caused spasm of the vocal cords resulting in internal blockage of the upper airway."

I'm afraid we're not on the same wave length. My point was that morally -- not literally -- the beating was the proximate cause of Martin's death. The people who beat him senseless were the guilty parties, not the ones who tried to revive him.

Something's not right here. Are they going to attempt to make Crist look like a hero but let those responsible get off easy since they are Crist employees? Are they going to pay off Martin's mom who is represented by Crist's supporter former NAACP Director Rouson? You know they are up to no good because IT'S FLORIDUH!
CHARLIE CRIST'S CAMPAIGN MANAGER IS BRENT SEMBLER, the son. Darryl Rousson per the exerpt is a Sembler partner.
Sembler's are up to their eyeballs in Bushes and Judge Greer.
I said this was all play acting and I was right. It all leads back to Pinellas County where Terri was murdered by Sembler lifetime friend Greer.
Whatever they are doing in the name of Martin, they might just be doing in the name of Charlie Crist. What a coup!
Somebody needs to get word to this family. They've suffered enough, and now they're about to get screwed again.
Unless mom is in on it, I hate to say. They are all play acting, the leaders that is, so maybe the mom is unaware of the huge conflict of interest or maybe she's in on it until the state gives her a settlement if she signs a release to hold the state harmless for killing Martin. Seriesly. This is hugh.
This time they aren't going to get away with it. The story was on the local news, and they showed the protesters. You bet Jeb ordered another autopsy. The family stated that they're going for justice. The problem is that at the end of the piece, the talking head said that the autopsy couldn't determine whether the death was an accident or homicide. Weasels always find a hole big enough to squeeze through.
My sympathy goes out to the parents. They decided that the boy needed to learn a lesson, so they agreed to place him in that facility to straighten him out. They'll rethink that decision for the rest of their lives.

Videotape of the incident showed Anderson being forced to the ground by various takedown methods including knee strikes to his thigh, pressure points to his ear and punches to his arms.
Later, another camp staffer hit him from behind, forcing Anderson to lurch forward. A nurse stood by, and on at least one occasion she determined his vital signs were normal.
Anderson was taken away on a stretcher and died later that day.
Adams reported that the blows "did not contribute to his death."
There's videotape, and the medical examiner says the beating did not cause his death, but suffocating did.
And the reason he was beaten and subdued? Because he refused to run, saying he couldn't breathe - he had sickle cell disease, where the blood can't always carry enough oxygen.
But you'll be pleased to know the sheriff's office has not re-employed the eight staffers involved. That'll show them.

The really curious thing was that Jeb, Crist and Rousson were all quoted in the same article and in the same tv coverage here. Was this a planned media blitz to fool people? It sure looks like it was well orchestrated but obviously, not undiscoverable.
IMO, this is about protecting Charlie Crist, not getting justice for Martin Anderson. Imagine the attorney general's friend shadowing the victim of a crime committed while the decedent was in state custody.
Has Darryl Rousson disclosed to Gina Jones that he is really tight with Charlie Crist or is mom Gina in on it? Either way Gina Jones is being victimized again.
I couldn't believe what I was seeing in the video that showed the grown adults beating the crap out of this young boy. These adults, and a massive amount at that, have no excuse for this kind of behavior. Pathetic, pathetic, pathetic...
Crist's friend Rousson, is shadowing Martin's mom. I don't know if she knows it or not but it seems to me if she doesn't know it, Rousson has a "failure to disclose" on his hands. This doesn't leave Charlie Crist blameless. IMO, Crist KNEW he was being spoon-fed a demand for justice by his friend Rousson. This is why I like to have women in leadership positions. When this many men try to be sneaky, they get caught. Women are better at it.
They have a tough decision on their hands. Protect Crist and the goons who beat that kid to death, or do the job they were elected to do. I guess they'll cover for Crist and leave Martin's family hanging out to dry.
I really don't think Mom's in on this. After the shock of losing her child, I don't think she's in any shape to connect the dots, much less cash in.

Failure to disclose, AND conflict of interest. If Gina doesn't have a clue, someone should give her one. She has a right and an obligation to know what's going on, and who is representing her and her family.
