Duke underestimated the rape allegations against members of the lacrosse team in part because Durham police initially said the accuser "kept changing her story and was not credible," according to a university report issued Monday.
The day after the March 13 team party where a 27-year-old black woman claimed she was raped, Durham police told campus officers that "this will blow over," the report said. It said that the woman initially told police she was raped by 20 white men, then said she was attacked by three.

The prosecutors manipulated the kids so deftly that their imaginations went absolutely wild: eventually, they were claiming they were raped by scissors, that an evil doll had raped them, that they had donned robes, descended into a magic chamber where they were made to rip the wings off birds....
Counselors also withheld water from thristy kids in "interviews" (interrogations), and later permitted them to slake their thirst after they had given them what they were after.
Some of the minutes of these interrogations are either horrifying, or completely hilarious, it's hard to decide which.
THAT'S THE POWER OF THE STATE.
The police had good reason to doubt the allegations she made.If the DA had an ounce of decency he would have waited for more evidence before charging the two athletes with rape.He should be disbarred and the accuser should be arrested if the charges turn out to be fraudulent.

In other words, white guilt knows no bounds.

I'll say it and I don't care if I get slammed for it. The minute I heard the word rape and stripper in the same sentence, I figured it was BS. I was right.
Too many people (even here on FR) were too quick to believe this story. It should have been looked at skeptically from the start.

Yeah. Right in the middle of that case falling apart, idiotic radio host Carole Hemmingway kept insisting that the charges were true because "children NEVER lie." She kept repeating that over and over again. Made me laugh. Yeah, children NEVER Lie. Riiiiiiight.
