Talking about Elmostafa and deportation reminds me of the Natalie Holloway disaster - It seemed with the corruption that went on there, some of the people that came up with certain evidence against Juron were, in fact, deported. There was one fellow, a gardener, who spoke up towards the very end, after the entire world dug up half of the island. He had seen the car somewhere by the beach when he was on his way home from somewhere. Just a comment...that's all.

I think your suggestion makes perfect sense, unless there are hidden things which would come to light about the accuser once she "outs" herself. And I think there are.

Wouldn't you at least try to find out if she was telling the truth first?

Exactly, she is not charged with a crime. I can see defending your child regardless if they were charged with a crime and had the full weight of the state coming after them. When you child is making an allegation and you see the evidence unraveling before you, you might try to see if your child paniced and made a false claim or not and try to get them out of the spot they may have gotten themselves into.

They are probably so afraid of Nyfong! He is running the show and maybe he is manipulating the parents just like he is trying to do everywhere else. Something is very, very, wrong here.

You're right. But I would do that privately. But I wouldn't go out and blab about it to the press, figuring that they're just destroying the character of everyone involved. I would defend my child publicly. But she would know better about what I would have to say privately!!

I didn't realize Nifong had blasted her with expletives. I knew she supported him. (Guess you gotta do what you've gotta due...) And I had read that he was overheard speaking to her before the GJ hearing and that he wasn't happy with the defense presser Friday.

Is there more?

If she were my daughter, I would be getting her into drug and alcohol rehab, and advising her to drop these false and malicious charges.

I've heard the dad speak via phone several times. I think you're probably right with your assessment. He struck me as a decent man, trying to defend his daughter as best he can. It doesn't make me think higher of her that she has put her parents through this. I have NOT heard her parents aggressively get out there and say what a great daughter she is, that she had not other choices, you know the line... They just seem to me to answer what they feel they must. I'm sure that they would like the media to get lost.

Only that the tirade occurred in a "hallway confrontation".

The worst possible thing that could happen to the players right now would be for the case to be dropped for ANY reason

No it is not the worst thing that could happen. They want the case dropped. They are wrongly charged but are still at risk for decades of their freedom. A runaway or racist jury could still convict them.

Sure the feminazis claim Kobe Bryant is guilty because he apologized to get that woman [really her attorney] to refuse to testify and paid her money to go away in the civil suit. Well once falsely accused that is what you do rather than risk your freedom etc.

I am fearful the girl might kill herself.

She lives a very high risk lifestyle. There are many ways she could die and the race baiters would claim the lacrosse families paid to have her killed.

The real problem here is that the accuser stands a good chance of losing her children. Now prior to this situation she has not been a model citizen, but she has not exactly been a minion of Satan either. Basically she gets into trouble and lies.

This is really a classic case of a lie told to get out of trouble causing enormous pain for lots of people. Hollywood used to make movies out of situations like this, but I bet they pass on this one.

I think people here have vastly over rated this. If she were to "lose" her children they very most likely would end up at her parents. That would not change much at all I bet.

After all this time, I don't understand why she lied if the first place. She was drunk and picked up by security guard in the car. Why would she have to lie at that point?

She did not want to go to jail or rehab.

but she wasn't drunk driving. Why would she be forced into rehab? Or is her occupation illegal or something?

I used to do this awful kind of work for a living. Losing your children right now seems a lot worse than some hypothetical trouble for being caught lying. I suspect she was facing trouble from many directions.

The problem here is that that a wannabe DA didn't have the patience to investigate before opening his mouth. He was likely going to lose the election.

This is a perfect storm.

She was falling down drunk in public. The police don't call your relatives to come get you, they take you to the drunk tank or rehab.

Now the drunk tank/rehab decision might be an interesting story. Originally the DPD took her to rehab. Perhaps she first pretended to be on drugs to avoid the drunk tank and then decided crying rape was preferable to rehab? As I said this will be an interesting part of the case too.

She had a conviction for trying to run over a police officer after a high speed chase. She was drunk when that happened.

She has several license suspensions.

She wasn't just "drunk" on the night in question. She was passed out drunk and, I think, on probation.

Sounds pretty close to forced rehab to me.

My wife did too for a bit. That is why I speculated the kids would have ended up with her parents and she probably knew that.

You are right she was facing pressure from many sides, but she cried rape when immediately faced with the drunk tank or rehab.
