I've been talking about this one for a while myself but I've gotten the usual conspiracy theory comments from people too smug to check it out for themselves.

Yes it's been posted about before on the forum. This article presents a little different take than the others.

Whatcha think they are building the Trans-Texas Corridor for? It's part of the same kind of thing but uses trucks.

I'm afraid the Bush Family New World Order types sold us out long ago.

Seems like another great way to mainline illegals and drugs into the country to me.

To the detractors of WND articles and the globalism issues:

The http://www.spp.gov website is a real government URL.

The issues we see with the immigration debate are being driven by both liberals and 'conservatives'. Why? Why is there a desire to erase national boundaries? Why do people not realize that the existence of sovereign nation states is a check and a balance to the ambitions of potential dictators and emperors? The 'rush' to world goverment is not a threat to the freedom of common men and women all over the world?

Does this Hammes lady enjoy contradicting herself?

1. She said Kansas City SmartPort is "a non-profit organization, not a physical building or facility being built for Mexico." but then says "Kansas City, Mo., is leasing the site to Kansas City SmartPort". (I assume padi for by American Taxpayers). Therefore they WILL have physical facilities. Does she think we will not connect these dots?

2. Hammes confirmed Kansas City plans to house a Mexican customs facility in the city's port, but she pointed out it will handle outbound U.S. freight exclusively, not inbound. But isnt this an obsfucation of the issue? The biggest problem to this "Security Minded Conservative" is that OUR customs inspections will not occur until potentially hazardous materials, or even WMDs are already in our heartland, with only am x-ray "Prescreen" in Mexico. Hrmm... we screen only a small percentage of cargo in the US, I wonder how much they will screen in Mexico? By whom? I wonder if Chemical and Biological agents will show up. ugg hrmm...

Finally, I wonder how many American truckers will lose their jobs when all this takes place. I have many family and friends who will not be able to compete with mexican truck drivers who do not have the training our fine American Truckers have.

Do any of you even realize how complete without even the SLIGHTEST bit of rationality your rantings here are? OUT BOUND traffic. Get it? Stuff we are shipping TO THEM. This is being done the same way US Customs checks things coming to the US from foreign ports. But of course bothering to learn the facts would eliminate any excuse for posting the daily mindless hysteria and paranoid ranting of the Freeper Know Nothings. No fools like old fools. I suppose we should be use to this utter lack of anything approaching rationality in these utterly ignorant Chicken Little postings.

Actually, the article clearly talks about two-way shipping. Chill.

MNJonnie said "OUT BOUND traffic. Get it? Stuff we are shipping TO THEM."

Perhaps MNJonnie should work on his/her reading comprehension skills.

The outbound only comment was in refernce to why Mexican Customs Officials would be stationed in Kansas City, not a characterization of the facility as a whole. In fact, Hammes stated this in the article.

The article clearly states:

Hammes explained that with American consumption of goods from the Far East increasing, U.S. coastal ports are at capacity. "The Lazaro Cardenas port is providing an alternative way to get products to North America," she said. "These PRODUCTS WILL COME TO Kansas City by way of rail"

You may have a lawsuit against your former teachers MNJonnie.

So you dont think they really had an interview with Ms. Hammes? You dont think she made those admissions?

No and No. Tell me what ever happened to the 6 suitcase nukes that were smuggled over the border a year ago as breathlessly reported by Farrah? This guy and his rag are an embarrassment to conservatives.

The credibility issue would be on Farrah, would it not? Perhaps WND is responsible for not finding another source, but that is hard to do even for the CIA now isnt it? Yellow Cake anyone?

Also, if WND were lying about the interview, they would be opening themselves up for a lawsuit. If you are so convinced an interview didnt take place, and are so "embarrassed", then you should email Ms. Hammes and let her know that WND is making up interviews.

Farrah IS WND and his rag IS his credibility. In other words ZERO.

Smashing the Unions in the name of free trade is a GOOD thing!

Destroying socialism, and their organized faction, should be done with deliberate speed.

She wrote to Corsi trying to straighten out his fevered conspiricy theory and even give the facts WND wites this piece of tripe that somehow reinforces their nutcase interpretation. It is classic conspiracy theory mental masturbation.

ok...that I didnt know. My mistake.

I just pulled up the article however, and it looks like he was quoting this Williams guy, who was quoting George Tenet.

"According to Williams, former CIA Director George Tenet informed President Bush one month after the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks that at least two suitcase nukes had reached al-Qaida operatives in the U.S."

Again, this may be an issue of sourcing. However, your criticism would be the same saying they never interviewed Williams, not that williams was incorrect.

Do you see what I mean?

and in doing so ADMITTED that cargo would be sent from Asia to a Mexican port. At which pont the cargo would have a cursory X-ray inspection and not be thoroughly inspected until the cargo reaches Kansas City instead of at the US-Mexico border as it should be.

Did you read the article?

A news source is not a news source if the do not vet their own sources. WND printed it and it then became THEIR story with THEIR credibility attached. WND is a conspiracy site.
