Problem with this fight is that both participants think they are the little guy set upon by the bully, neither can actully deliver a knockout blow, and it's largely the bystanders who are getting their teeth punched out.

Fact remains, only 20% of Lebanon is Hezbollah...
The remaining 80% however, is supporting this terrorist organization masquerading as a political party..
Fact remains that even Lebanese Christians have no objection to the willful murder of Israeli Jews..
Lebanon must completely eliminate Hezbollah from it's political structure..
It must completely eliminate Hezbollah's ability to procure and use "agents of deadly force" against Israel, or any other entity..
If Lebanon wishes to be recognized as a responsible nation it must start acting like one, and take responsibility for what has been done and is being done from within it's borders..
Otherwise, Lebanon should pay the price..

Very good read, Valin, thanks. I have been thinking along similar lines myself. Whatever one thinks about the Israeli response, one has to admit and come to terms with a population that has in their charter (PLO) and/or screams from the rooftop every other week (Iran-which supports Hezbollah and Lebanon by default), that another country needs to be and is going to be exterminated. It is the civilized world's responsibility to firmly and in some cases violently "teach" these countries that extermination of another people/country/race in NOT acceptable and will NOT be tolerated.

The Lebanese need to learn that there is a price to pay in supporting the terrorist whackjobs. Having lots of your "civilians" killed when the whackjobs get their asses handed to them is part of the price.

This is timely and accurate. Israel must completely destroy Hesbollah as surgically accurately as is reasonabl;y practical and the United States MUST NOT restrain them.
Shorten Condeleeza Rice's leash or give her something else to occupy her attention - maybe soothing Jacque Chirac over what's going on at The tour de France.
