Anti-Catholic violence?
I'm guessing these were NOT the kids from Demolay.
I don't think so. Probably just renting out the hall.
This is becoming very routine here in KC. Last month I heard some boneheads with an AK or something empty one 30-round magazine at some people a few blocks away, then reloaded and did it again. Turned on the police scanner to see how many died, and somehow only a few got wounded but their cars got shot up real bad. The month before that a group was in Swope Park doing a graduation party. The gangstas showed up and the guns came out. Only five goons got shot that time, and no witnesses at all. I guess everyone else was too busy ducking and running. I live in the suburbs, and it's not unusual at all to hear 15 shots rapid fire at random times in the wee hours of the morning.
Please FReepmail me if you'd like to be added to or removed from the KofC ping list.
It appears the title should have just been "Gang violence at teens party ....."
That's true, but don't forget, it's the A.P. reporting this.
Yep...that's there modus operandi in all their reporting, i.e., anti-conservative, anti-Christian, and anti-Constitution (except for protection of their right to corrupt and propogandize).
Prayers for all concerned.
Be careful who you rent your hall to...

Shooting Kills 2 at Party
KANSAS CITY, MO - Family and friends gathered Sunday night to say goodbye to two people shot and killed during an overnight shooting in Kansas City, Missouri. They held a vigil near 82nd and Wornall in the Waldo area of Kansas City for 20-year-old Nathan Buie, a track star at UMKC, and his friend Harvey Demarco.
Police say around 12:45 a.m Sunday, someone started shooting during a party at the Knights of Columbus building at 82nd and Wornall. Eleven people were shot and two of them died.
Demarco's sister says her brother was there to pick up Buie after the party and the two just got caught in the crossfire. "We know he came up here to get his friend. He was a helper. By coming up here to get his friend, he sacrificed his life," Chanielle Redmon, his sister, said.
Friends of Buie say he just happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time. "He was a track star on a full ride at UMKC and I just want people to know he wasn't some kind of hoodlum. He was an outstanding young man with an outstanding future," John Sharp, friend, said.
Police estimate that whoever started shooting fired between 25 to 50 rounds. Police don't have any suspects.
