Which is why I don't trust this result one freaking bit. If he was going to cheat, why would Landis take a drug that is so readily and easily detectable? This sounds like sour French Grapes to me. Americans have been winning their race and they don't like it, not one damn bit. After watching the lengths they went to to smear Lance Armstrong, I don't trust any testing that these people do, not one bit. You can bet everything you have that if a frenchie or someone from any other country had won this thing there would not be so much as a peep about drug testing.

The race is international, not between the United States and France, and although the United States and France have tense relations, France is far from the most antiAmerican country in Western Europe (that title could go to the Spanish and the Greeks, though Greece could only have been made a part of Western Europe so that Western Europe could grab some hold on having an advanced ancient history. in that case, the Spanish are probably the most antiAmerican Western Europeans).
