You did a great job of describing his particular genius.
My genius is that somehow I've avoided the authorities for so long. :^)
I'll refrain from describing that one ...
Some guys got it ...
Actually, that is kind of gross.
In the first one, it's actually being USED.
~blinks~ Well... yeah!
Good Lord, Hair, not again.
I'm familiar with that magazine, they are placed in Ob/gyn offices for the new mothers to take. I've never seen it anywhere else.
I think its sweet. I breastfed my son, thank G-d no one took a picture of us though.
Someday we'll all come over and check out your library.
We have as a society gone overboard when we find distaste in the sight of a mother giving life nourishment to a newborn whether in public or private - as is her choice alone.
If people are going to pass along to their observant children a sense of "wrong" and "being uptight" over breastfeeding, this will start them on the long path of censorship and caution when matters of simple natural childbirth and reproduction become an issue for family discussion. How to stop your child from asking questions?
Act as if this one act is somehow bad and wrong.
Nature is far wiser than we in our prudishness.
I regard breastfeeding as one of the most wonderful sights we have to share with the world.... a woman who has given and is sustaining life to the most fragile of us.
Well said.
Especially since, "Grand Tetons", when translated from early American Indian, means "Big Tits."
Wait a minute. You mean to tell me there is porn online ?when did this happen and were is all this porn your talking about?
After spending all day looking at websites to tell you the best intersections to help little old ladys across the street and how to volunteer at an old folks home i dont have much time to look at any other sites this is the first i heard about porn on the internet are you sure thats not just an urban legend ?
"yet another sign that Americans are squeamish over the sight of a nursing breast, even as breast-feeding itself gains more support from the government and medical community."
What's so terrible about that? I mean, people being squeemish, NOT the breast.
You know, it's good to urinate, but that doesn't mean it's perfectly fine to show everyone.
Neither is intercourse in public a good thing.
And spare me the stupid "uptight" comments. Breast-feeding is a great thing, but it's a very private thing. And sorry, guys, but since "guys" are so sexually excited by breasts, the breast IS a sexual instrument, no matter what it's being used for. Just like the male member has a double purpose. So along with the intercourse - keep it covered.
Oh - we had done so good on this thread, very few comparisons between breastfeeding and urination.... then you had to ruin it.
Reminds me of a Simpson's episode:
Marge answers the door early in the morning. It's Maude and Helen, recruiting Marge to protest with them against David.
Helen: You've got to lead our protest against this abomination!
[shows newspaper article]
Marge: Mm, but that's Michelangelo's David. It's a masterpiece.
Helen: [gasp] It's filth! It graphically portrays parts of the human body, which, practical as they may be, are evil.
Marge: But I like that statue.
Helen: [gasp] I told you she was soft on full frontal nudity! Come on, girls...
The crowd (sans Marge) storm to the airport and tell them to take the statue away. This prompts another `Smartline' episode.
Is it a masterpiece or just some guy with his pants down? That's our topic tonight on Smartline...
-- Kent Brockman, on the coming of Michelangelo's David to Springfield.
No moreso than the Washington Times.....

As for breasts being 'Sexual', uptight people look at them as sexual, that's their problem. I guess to become a more 'Godly' society, though, we're going to have to do something about these free thinking womenfolk and thier supposed right to breastfeed. [/sarc]
Thanks for your remark
We are all different in our view of our world around us - especially as it pertains to continuation of life and how that occurs.
If someone is embarrassed as you say, they deal with it the best way they know how - to be embarrassed - while the child could care less as long as it is nourished - which is the ultimate function of the breast.
If it pleasures the couple in lovemaking - that would be a private matter entirely up to them.:o)
