What's the big deal, if you buy a nice diamond for the lady, you only have to buy it once. I have a beauty and some day, it will be handed down to my daughter, grand daughter, etc. We have family heirlooms in our family, it is a really nice bit of history and tradition. Not to mention our garage is full of tools, the house is full of guns... what's wrong with getting the lady something she wants?
I don't know, I just have a problem blowing money on a useless hunk of carbon that will only be used as fealty to her and then as her trophy to show off to the other envious harpies at work.
I like my diamond wedding ring. After he asked me to marry him he showed me different rings (and diamonds), and he got me one that was beautiful.
I still love it and we've been married almost 15 years. He got me diamond earrings for our 5th anniversary when I was on bedrest with our twin daughters.
I wouldn't want anymore diamonds, but the ones that I do have are very special. I'll pass them down to my daughters.
