Onscreen king of kvetch Larry David just couldn't contain himself at a Martha's Vineyard parking lot last weekend when an errant shopping cart scratched his beloved BMW 530. According to Page Six, the "Curb Your Enthusiasm" and "Seinfeld" creator and his wife were outside a Vineyard Haven supermarket when a runaway cart made what one eyewitness said was "a little dent" in David's $75,000 car.
David proceeded to call the cops and started, says the witness, "in a golf shirt and shorts, flapping away with his arms. It was just like an episode on his show." Vineyard cops confimed that David called them but no charges were pressed. David's reps had no comment. But David doth protest too much: HBO confirmed yesterday, according to the Hollywood Reporter, that the sixth season of "Curb" will begin production as early as September, with all the principals back, and an airdate coming in 2007.

See, if he was driving an evil SUV with side nerf bars...he could have avoided that problem alltogether.
What a Putz.

Another reason never to go to Martha's Vineyard.
But you know, I always enjoyed that "Curb Your Enthusiasm" show.
Larry is a strange duck...so is his dear wife.

If it weren't for his show, he'd be in an asylum!

That pampered, neurotic fcuktard is overdue for a little perspective.

I always enjoyed that "Curb Your Enthusiasm" show.Me too, although I think it's declined in quality precipitously in the last couple of seasons.

Bullsh*t! No way a 530i costs $75,000.
Not even a 545. Perhaps an M5...in said event I would help Mr. David kick that shopper's arse too! ;^)

That's the whole point of the show. That George Costanza was not a "character" on Seinfeld, but a fairly accurate depiction of Larry David, as hard to believe as that is. The only thing that is fictional about "Curb" is whatever situation he finds himself in. His reactions to them are all the way he actually would respond to them. He's a mental case.

If he were driving an SUV he'd also be getting similar or better gas mileage and emitting less pollution, the hypocritical, leftist...oh, I repeat myself.

Doesn't surprise me at all that he is just like his character. I know that he is a big Lefty but, I had HBO for a few months free and I loved his show. It was the only thing I missed when the freebie was over.

A fight amongst Martha's Vineyard goers would be one pathetic spectacle. Whom could Larry David prevail against?

Hard to pick a side here for me. Two Martha's Vineyard spoiled ass lefties kicking each others' asses over a dent in his silly ass car would be too much fun to watch. Personally, I'd prefer to arm both sides (at an exorbitant profit) and encourage them all to get their friends and families involved.

The big rub about the body style of the most BMW sedan is that there is no trim piece to protect the side panels.
It screams "kick me"!
