I started doing the math when I first read that story a while ago. It doesn't compute with what had been published previously.
However, having said that, there is still a mystery hole in Wexford's marital history, meaning Nathaniel's mother, whoever she is. He was born in late 1971 or early 1972, as far as I know.
OK, here's what I had previous to this car crash report:

" ... His own childhood began in metro Atlanta.
His father, Wexford Karr, married Patricia Elaine Adcock on Aug. 21, 1958. He was 37 and she was 18, according to court documents.
Their union produced two sons, Michael and John, who was born Dec. 12, 1964.
The couple separated 11 years after they married, and Wexford Karr filed for divorce in 1973 in Clayton County, saying the marriage was "irretrievably broken" and that the boys were in his custody. His wife received a $5,000 mobile home and $125 a month in alimony, according to court papers.
Soon after, Wexford Karr, then 52, married a woman 23 years his junior, Susan Simpson. But his union with the 29-year-old burned out in divorce six months later. ... "

>>>So, Patricia Elaine, who could be the wife Elaine in the car crash story, but might coincidentally be another wife with Elaine as her name, became separated from Wexford in 1969 and they divorced in 1973.
If John Mark was in 2nd grade, according to the car crash story, when his mother allegedly died, let's say he was 7-8. Born in December, he apparently went with the later class instead of the earlier. (1983 graduation year minus 1964 birth year = 18 -1/2 at graduation time, even though he didn't graduate - and evidently wasn't a mid-termer.)
His 2nd grade would've been in school year fall 1971 to spring 1972, if he turned 7 in Dec 1971. Not sure if that's right. He turned 8 in Dec 1972, so it could've been school year 1972-73.
If the lady died in 1971-72-73, she isn't listed in the SSDI under her name.
Now, the part about Wexford being a "well-to-do General Motors" executive doesn't quite ring true with what we have heard, either. I think he would've had enough money to send JMK to college, anyway. I'll get to more later - gotta go check around on some things!
In all honesty, Sandbar you should just tell us what you know and how you know it. This why he or she cannot produce links on what they have been telling us.
Sandbar has claimed to know this family - read their posts you will find it.

What source do you have for this? I didn't realize they were giving out her full name!

He was not an executive, but made good money with rental property.
