Can you imagine being able to afford living so close to the Ramseys? That's in addition to the creepiness to his apparently deliberate proximity to them. But back to the money...this Karr seemed to have it, always. Ill-gotten gain? From a family member? Something just hit me. Could Karr have been blackmailing someone? For years? Just a thought.

I find this weird. Patsy woke up normally, correct? I suppose she could have been in her night clothes and just thrown on whatever was on the chair when she found her daughter missing. But what are the chances BOTH spouses hopped up and put on old clothing?
If they were dressing only because law enforcement were on the way, it seems strange that neither one of them, upon going back to their bedroom, in anxiety, just reached for even a new shirt/top.
Combined with their son's voice on the 911 tape, it makes me wonder if they slept that night.

That's a great question. I wonder what exactly his connection to the Ramseys is, besides being the confessor to the crime?
Can you imagine just how large his collection of child porn grew after he left the USA. I hope they nailed him with it on his computer plus addresses of all pedophile buds.
That's what I'm trying to figure. Given that evidence, what's the simplest explanation for it all? I think the simplest explanation is that they never went to bed that night.

I started doing the math when I first read that story a while ago. It doesn't compute with what had been published previously.
However, having said that, there is still a mystery hole in Wexford's marital history, meaning Nathaniel's mother, whoever she is. He was born in late 1971 or early 1972, as far as I know.
OK, here's what I had previous to this car crash report:

If John Mark was in 2nd grade, according to the car crash story, when his mother allegedly died, let's say he was 7-8. Born in December, he apparently went with the later class instead of the earlier. (1983 graduation year minus 1964 birth year = 18 -1/2 at graduation time, even though he didn't graduate - and evidently wasn't a mid-termer.)
His 2nd grade would've been in school year fall 1971 to spring 1972, if he turned 7 in Dec 1971. Not sure if that's right. He turned 8 in Dec 1972, so it could've been school year 1972-73.
If the lady died in 1971-72-73, she isn't listed in the SSDI under her name.
Now, the part about Wexford being a "well-to-do General Motors" executive doesn't quite ring true with what we have heard, either. I think he would've had enough money to send JMK to college, anyway. I'll get to more later - gotta go check around on some things!

In an interview with Boulder police some two years later Patsy said that she was fully dressed, with makeup, BEFORE she found the note. So there was no panic to get dressed if we are to believe her. Police officers arriving at the scene confirmed that. She was dressed and ready to travel to Michigan.
I know about that as a likely source. But he's the sneaky type who would blackmail someone. Think about it. Into child porn and you might get caught...he did, in CA. Now a lifelong blackmailer of someone with standing and money, as long as that person was willing to be intimidated, would be much better. I'm not alleging it. Just occurred to me. There's something very hidden, behind the scenes, under the radar with this guy.

So the family returned around 10 and that is roughly JB's time of death? She was asleep in the car, correct, and they carried her to bed? Could she have already wet herself maybe still in the car, and this was discovered upon arrival at home? Just wondering.
I do not understand the quote by Burke on the tape. Could he have been shunted out of the rooms where any planning or searching or arguing or anything was going on, and he was wondering "what he did" to get sent away? (Hey, what did I do?" is a common refrain for kids getting sent to another room.)
