I am sure I deeply deserve the Zot, but I have been reading freerepublic for ages, I think at least back to SoreLoserman days, and since I don’t comment much at all, preferring very much to just read and enjoy, I do what any reader does when confronted with a term he or she just doesn’t know at all—I skip and hope that by the fiftieth time I see it I will have vaguely figured out the meaning through the confabulation of contexts (assuming I can remember them all—I am aging! again, be merciful on the elderly!). So: I have been reading for a long time without knowing a) what zot means; b) that there is an administrator’s thread that explains all. So it is possible to not know what you guys assume as basic and still be someone who has read this site basically for over ten years. Put that in your pipe and smoke it! With all true regards—lauraw
