I've been on some of the Navy sites this morning and have had no problem.

Here's a link to websites from off my son's ship's page:

http://www.lassen.navy.mil/links.htm

Maybe you can get to some sites from there?

Call your ISP. All of your links work.

Have no problem accessing www.navy.mil sites or history.navy.mil sites.

Are you running with a host file by chance? There has been an ip code change take place over the past few weeks going to the expanded ip numbers. That change over at my ISP gave me a few bumps for a day or so until the changeover was complete.

If you are using an old host file, many ip numbers are likely to be invalid.

Solution (specific to Hughes.net customers):

navy.mil site is a "secure site".

The site required the following changes:

Access properties in the LAN connection and add the following static DNS server under the TCP/IP protocol: 66.82.4.8. The DNS suffix for this connection is hughes.net. This change must also be made if you are attempting to access certain VPN's. :-) The modem will require a 30 second shut down and reboot after these changes are made.

Thanx to all who helped.
