I don't think he was ever charged with a crime in Thailand. He was picked up there on the California charges, I don't think the Thai government has a problem with POS pedophiles.

Not according to Dr. Baden, who has worked on this case. Dr. Lee said essentially the same thing, to the extent one can understand him, that is.

You're right. I really don't think many people expected the DNA to match for a number of reasons. The info they need is proof that he was with his family that Christmas and IIRC, they do not have that. The one photo produced by the family did not have Karr's picture in it. Until that proof is forthcoming, this will have an air of mystery. His confession strikes me, like so many others, as a fake, but without proof that he has an alibi that eventful night, I'll not be sure.

Why should this not surprise anybody.

John Mark Karr had little or no association with the Ramsey family anytime before Jon-Benet's death, and sure had very little afterward.

A much more prominent personage, known to the Ramseys, was the real perpetrator in this case, and the identity is being concealed, up to now very well indeed.

In another unsolved mystery, was Jack the Ripper really Prince Albert? Obviously, whoever was in the Ramsey household Christmas 1996, is being concealed and protected by a closely held conspiracy. Patsy took the secret to her grave.

If this joker is no longer acceptable as a suspect in this case, shouldn't he be subject to some kind of charges and be responsible for expenses of the state? He has kept probably 2000 people away from their actual work for at least a month now. He ought to be receiving an invoice pretty soon.
