The one fact that troubles me is that the parents of Karr's former wife say they got letters from him signed SBTC, the same signature as on the ransom note .

That was how Karr signed his friend's yearbook in high school. It is too much of a coincidence.

Defamation aside, this is absolutely the most stupid assertion I've ever heard. Why would she ONLY kill her daughter and not keep swinging and kill (or severely injure) John as well? Your so-called theory isn't remotely consistent with the injuries on the body, either.

Good Lord. You need to look up the meaning of Petecchial hemmoraging. The fracture was jagged, 8 inches long and lethal. It broke off a 1 inch square of the skull cap beneath her scalp. Have you read the autopsy report?

A palm print on the door leading to that same wine cellar, long unidentified, is that of Melinda Ramsey, JonBenet's adult half-sister. She was in Georgia at the time of the murder

No...he wasn't charged, jailed or anything like that. But he was under investigation by Thailand authorities and they were (from what I have read) ready to charge him.
This may be wrong but I've read that they were definitely interested in him which is what may have instigated his willingness to confess/comply/submit.
