We have to win. If the US leaves now, it will hand an enormous victory to the Islamo-Fascists and probably induce a bloodbath in Iraq.

"Does America want to win or lose in Iraq". It is just that simple.

No, it's not that simple. America does not have a collective "want" of anything. There are people who do want to win, and people who don't. Right now, those who do out-number those who don't.

As far as I am concerned, the U.S. won when Saddam was deposed. Now we are engaged in a different war...assisting Iraq in their fight against fascist forces trying to tear down their elected government and murder their citizens. Since the latter is the war we are engaged in now, I assume your question is about that one. Yes, we want our ally, Iraq, to win the war in which they (and we) are engaged. The U.S. and the free world have a lot more to gain from Iraq defeating its enemies, then from Iraq losing to its enemies.

"Does America want to win or lose in Iraq?"

Of course, the American people want to win in Iraq, but an even bigger question is do the Iraqi people want what we consider a "win" in Iraq?
