The 20-year-old son of Anna Nicole Smith has been found dead in a hospital in the Bahamas, where the former reality TV star and Playboy playmate gave birth to a baby girl. Smith's attorney, Howard K. Stern, said authorities had not yet determined what caused the death of Daniel Smith, whose body was found Sunday morning.
Walter Evans, a spokesman for the Royal Bahamian Police Force, would say only that the son of an undisclosed celebrity had been found in a room of the private Doctor's Hospital in Nassau.
Evans declined to provide details, but Stern said the cause was under investigation.
"We have yet to learn the cause of death but do not believe that drugs or alcohol were a factor," Stern said. "Anna Nicole is absolutely devastated by the loss of her son. He was her pride and joy and an amazing human being."
Anna Nicole Smith, 38, gave birth to a healthy 6 pound, 9 ounce girl at the hospital on Thursday. Her son had traveled to the Caribbean country to visit with his mother.
She married Texas oil tycoon J. Howard Marshall II in 1994, when she was 26 and he was 89. He died the following year. Since then, she has feuded with Marshall's son, Pierce Marshall, over her entitlement to the tycoon's estate.
Confusing story with an attorney named Howard Stern.

Prayers up for her and the rest of the family. :^(
Ok sorry..
Thank you.
Hard to imagine what kind of life this young man had in 20 years as Anna Nicole as his mother.
Very sad and very mysterious.
She has certain gifts that G-d has given her -- most notably, the ability to acquire a foothold in the entertainment field. That requires certain charisma and ability to relate to people. I hope she turns those skills to something that will allow her to be of meaningful service to mankind.
To those that know how I joke around a lot, I am not joking about this.
I agree.
They found no evidence of a drug or alcohol overdose.
How awful. I saw him on his mother's reality show and he seemed embarassed at times. I felt sorry for him and I really feel for his mother at this time, losing a child is an unimaginable pain. My prayers go out to her at this time.
I wonder what's up with celebrities starting to have their babies in other countries.
Agreed. My hope is that she finally comes to grip with her addiction (drugs, not booze, IMHO).
Hopefully this will finally force her into the realization that she needs professional help - before she ruins her daughter's life as well. My personal opinion is that she put her obsession for power, money and fame ahead of her responsibilities to her son.
That poor kid never had a chance...
