I grew up in a small town in central Massachusetts, and it was such a thrill for us to go into Boston to shop at Jordan Marsh and Filene's. Worcester also had a Filene's, but it just wasn't the same as Boston's.
Macy's took over the Foley's Department stores here in the Houston, Texas area. I was very surprised to see her as their spokesperson. Sheesh! I thought Macy's was supposed to have some class.
