I wanted to let you know that I am a Christian, and I am a veteran. I served in the United States armed forces, proudly I might add, protecting the freedom of speech you are currently enjoying. I thought I would let you know that a lot of what you are saying is completely unchristian, and that you are certain to have to answer for your tactics on the day you stand in judgment. You have said that America is doomed... Well, guess what genius, YOU LIVE IN AMERICA TOO!!! So, when you are damning us all, you damn yourself as well. And I am not sure which God you are worshiping, but I worship my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Jesus said, in laymen’s terms, "Fault them not, for they know not what they do."
This thought is repeated in many ways throughout the Bible, but most notably as in Matthew 5, verse 39,
39 But I say unto you, That ye resist not evil: but whosoever shall smite thee on thy right cheek, turn to him the other also.
40 And if any man will sue thee at the law, and take away thy coat, let him have thy cloke also.
41 And whosoever shall compel thee to go a mile, go with him twain.
42 Give to him that asketh thee, and from him that would borrow of thee turn not thou away.
43 Ye have heard that it hath been said, Thou shalt love thy neighbour, and hate thine enemy.
44 But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you;
45 That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust.
46 For if ye love them which love you, what reward have ye? do not even the publicans the same?
47 And if ye salute your brethren only, what do ye more than others? do not even the publicans so?
Do you notice that this seems to say, "Love all men, no matter whether they are your friends or you enemies." I also have another scripture for you. I am sure you will twist it and turn it to your own meaning as you wish, but it Shows that you have great need to turn from the path you are on. The verse is also in Matthew 5, and it is only one verse long. Here is verse 22:
22 But I say unto you, That whosoever is angry with his brother without a cause shall be in danger of the judgment: and whosoever shall say to his brother, Raca, shall be in danger of the council: but whosoever shall say, Thou fool, shall be in danger of hell fire.
In case you didn't know, Raca, means fool.
Your church is guilty of persecution against a nation, and a group of people protecting your freedoms. Also in Matthew 5, Verses 9-12 read,:
9 Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God.
10 Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness’ sake: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
11 Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake.
12 Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for great is your reward in heaven: for so persecuted they the prophets which were before you.
By your persecution, you have guaranteed that which you preach will not come to pass. Through your persecution, our soldiers are guaranteed a place in heaven.
I would like to say, that your ignorance about the scriptures is appalling. I could have found a lot more scripture to support this argument, But I only needed to look in one book to find enough proof that what you are doing is wrong. If you'll notice, not once did I have to resort to swearing, although your preacher has been known to do it in numerous sermons. I was quite appalled at the language he employs in his so-called "work of god".
Yes, I am sure you noticed the drop to the lower case "g". Your church cannot possibly worship the same God as I do, For I worship a merciful and compassionate God, Who sent His only son to die for our sins, that we may be able to ask for forgiveness. I am hoping that all of your followers will suddenly ask for the forgiveness they so desperately need, because, as we all know, ignorance is not an excuse. I believe that your church is a false cult, and that it's ending has already begun, but that some of you may yet be saved. Turn from your persecution, and towards the light of the word of God, that you may be saved from eternal damnation for misusing the words that the Lord has provided us with.
It would not be hard to read anything in the Bible and make it say whatever you wish it to. Interpretation has become an art form over the years when it comes to religion. All anyone has to do is think back over the years to the various fanatics to see that. There is Osama Bin Laden, of the Muslim faith. There was David Koresh, the self proclaimed messiah from a few years back. There were the cultist that all killed themselves when the comets were flying overhead, because they believed that an alien race had come to carry them away from this life and on to a better place.
In closing, I found yet another set of scriptures which talks about the false prophets, and being able to tell them by what they bring. I am sure you must have never seen this scripture, or understood it if you had. Your congregation brings nothing but misery to your fellow man, and that is an evil thing.
In Matthew 7, beginning at Verse 15, it reads:
15 Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.
16 Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles?
17 Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit.
18 A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit.
19 Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire.
20 Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.
21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.
22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?
23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.
It is still not too late for the members of your church to be saved. yet I fear my warnings will fall upon deaf ears. Just remember that no matter what you say, you are not judge and jury. My God has not yet spoken to you about his plans for this world, for it is said, No man shall know my coming. Although, whatever your god may have told you is still up for discussion. One final note, that I think you should recognize, that defeats all your arguments about everyone in America being doomed. In John 3, Verses 16-18 state that all men may yet be saved, so your "doom prophesies" are really heresies.
16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.
18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.
Interesting for a first-day post.
Interesting.....
They seem to think God hates about everything, except for themselves, according to their websites.
Wonder what flavor Kool-Aid they prefer?
