This is so sad. Where I work, we know we can't save every baby, but we don't give up so easily, especially if the parents want everything done. That baby looks alert with good color; not edematous, not in pain.
Why boter having a NICU if you're not dedicated to saving the lives of babies?
That should be "bother"
I'm having a hard time understanding much of it. Reading through their website, her parents had to go through several "Ethics" meetings (some they weren't even told about), and also tried to have Emmie-Rose moved to other hospitals for a "second opinion", only to have the doctors that were treating her talk the potential docs out of even giving a 2nd opinion! Sad all around.
Prayers for her family.
Prayers for the family of Emmie Rose.
Prayers up.
Praying. God bless.
A CHILD LOANED
"I'll lend for a little time a child of mine." He said."For you to love the while she lives, and mourn when she is dead.
It may be now or six or seven years, or twenty two or three,But will you, till I call her back, take care of her for me?
She'll bring her charm to gladden you, and should his stay be brief, you'll have her lovely memories as solace in your grief.
I cannot promise she will stay, since all from earth return, but there are lessons taught down there I want this child to learn.I've looked the wide world over in search of teachers true. And from the throngs that crowd life's lanes, I have selected you.
""Now will you give her all your love nor think the labor vain, nor hate me when I come to call, to take her back again?"
I fancied that I heard them say, "Dear Lord, Thy will be done,For all the joy thy child shall bring, the risk of grief we'll run.
We'll shelter her with tenderness, we'll love her while we may;And for the happiness we've known will ever grateful stay.
But should your angels call for her much sooner than we planned,We'll brave the bitter grief that comes, and try to understand!"

This breaks my heart. Seeing the picture brings back a lot of memories of my little guy in the NICU.
Prayers for the family.

A very sad prayer request ping.
Sad Ping :-(
Prayers sent...
Unbelivable. How unspeakably reperehensible for them to not do everything they could to save that baby. Prayers for the poor, heartbroken parents. If ever a lawsuit is justified....
so sad, and seemingly senseless. God's will be done, but it's hard to think it was done without the prodding of those doctors.
May God bless Emmie-Rose and her parents, as I know He will.
Precious little Emmie-Rose. Her crime was being born premature?
I am sick right now. Her forced passing -- which didn't have to occur from what I can surmise -- took the smile right off my face. But I am not complaining about that at all. I know Emmie-Rose's family feels far, far worse and I am sorry for that. In fact, I know they feel this loss in a way that is difficult for me to imagine without having experienced this personally myself.
I am so sad for Emmie-Rose, her parents and other family members, and friends. Heartfelt prayers for them all.
beautiful. *sob*
Tears and prayers.
May Our Lord embrace little Emmie-Rose and guide and strengthen her parents and may Our Lord provide us all who care with the resolve that her passing be not in vain.

Prayers that the ethics committee will see the error of their ways.
