So does this mean that Little John wore a kilt?

Thanks Nick.
The English Robin Hood is first mentioned by name in the official documents for Yorkshire of 1230, where he is described as Robertus Hood fugitivis who has failed to appear in court.
AFAI've ever read, the only evidence for an actual Robin Hood / Locksley are some gravestones, and those were only name matches with the famous story.

Still, an interesting twist. Next week, Merlin the Magician will be shown to have lived in Nottingham Forest -- so there! ;') No ping, just into the catalog with this varlet of a topic.

To all -- please ping me to other topics which are appropriate for the GGG list. Thanks.

Reminds me of an old Irish popular history claiming that St. Patrick might really have been from Brittany, rather than Britain.

Lawhead wrote The Pendragon Cycle, Byzantium and Patrick. The first was a great twist on the Authurian legends. The last two were very well done historical fictions.

While I haven't liked everything he has written, I think I might enjoy his retelling of Robin Hood.
