My Dragon Fly and Me
If I could be a Dragon Fly and wing my way through the sky I would never be shy just me and my Dragon Fly!
By moonlight we ride the wind chase the comets tail for fun by day we would hide from the sun our fragile wings would come undone
On darkest nights we would use fireflies as our guide we would dip and we would glide through the heavens open wide and scatter diamonds in the night sky my Dragon Fly and me...
And we would wing past our lovers silent in the night... to kiss their face in our flight much to their surprise and delight my Dragon Fly and me in sight...
Such a view do we share away up here in the air of breezes soft through our hair my Dragon Fly and me a pair...

That color is a lot of maples and birches and the venue is Vermont. If you don't get a photo, it's all gone too soon.

Oh, just mostly
Post #107 above, probable new job in Taiwan starting Thursday, but the only flight I could get puts me there a day late, hopefully they won't be angry.
They've been really cool so far, offering to pick me up at the airport even, so I don't think they'll really care about the delay. Other than that, same old same old.

He was clearly a Kerry voter.
OH my gosh, ROTFLOL!
I can sure understand your anger-it would fluff my feathers as well. I think it's the attitude they project (for me anyway) the deliberate body actions and facial contortions that would really make me want to slap them into the middle of next week. And that's what they want!
It's not worth wasting your positive energy on that sort of lowlife.
Ya done good!
Those attention seekers usually get what they're after and it is not always what they had in mind. ;)
I bet that jerk doesn't have a quiet place in his life.

Post 107, that's what we've heard about Japan and China and Australia, among others, are pretty ticked off.
I was hoping his test would cause a quake that would level North Korea only.
Stay well and good luck on your new job.

I lived many years in a rural area and the scenery was very much like the picture you posted. Breath taking!

Thought for the day...
in "The Taming of the Shrew," William Shakespeare
wrote, "Do as adversaries do in law. Strive
mightily, but eat and drink as friends."
This is Monday, Oct. 9, the 282nd day of 2006 with 83 to follow. The moon is waning. The morning stars are Venus and Saturn. The evening stars are Mercury, Jupiter, Uranus, Neptune, Mars and Pluto.

When you drive around the backroads of New England in fall, there are often breathtaking views around the next corner.

Thank you. You put your finger right on it, and now I can feel sorry for him. Yes, he must be miserable all the time, otherwise he wouldn't have the capacity to just create it on the fly like that.
Yes I was drinking wine and posting all day long (not that I was drunk, now that I switched to only drinking wine I found it keeps my head clear, so I never drink to intoxication) but I was winding down after many satisfying cups and six or seven hours of satisfying FR conversation (that's all I did today). And I'm sure I was absolutely broadcasting vibes of happiness and satisfaction so strongly that a miserable person would react as negatively as we would react to a negative!
Some guys have true Thai girl friends here, but many are with just garden variety prostitutes, and his was pretty obviously a rent girl. You know, now I suddenly feel really bad for him, he was talking to his family on the Internet, but didn't sound real convincing. I was totally trying to not hear him, but he was talking to a kid in a voice like he's not used to talking to kids, sounded wooden. Then he asked a strange question, he said "So, how's your new teacher....do you still like her?". I thought that was a weird thing to ask a kid about a teacher who's just new, like he was trying to bust up any relationship that got within his grasp.
I'll bet no one loves him (and can we blame them!?) and he was talking to his divorce kids, and he's with a woman who only wants money from him, and otherwise despises him for what she has to do for the money.
Then I walk by oozing joy and happiness, good wine, good friends and conversation on the Internet, new job and some money in the bank that I earned this last year too. He must have felt a stab of agony, probably thinks God hates him (of course God doesn't hate!). Well if I see him around the tourist area before I go I'll give him a friendly smile. Thanks bentfeather, you hit the philosophical spot!

Thanks, and regarding North Korea, that event kind of shifts China's focus far from Taiwan, so Taiwan should be peaceful, peaceful! I'm anticipating an uneventful, but rewarding existence there!

Well, it's midnight so I guess I should go hit the sack. Maybe on the way home I'll look for my pony tailed buddy and give him a Gideon's Bible or something inspiring like that.
N'ite all! ;-)

I have been reading and rereading that young soldier's poem and finding echoes I know so well. It is what real poetry is about, and I thank you for putting it here for me to find!

You have found the rude dude to be worthy of reconsideration from your first viewpoint. That is the mark of maturity so many today miss altogether. Glad to hear your heading back to some center of employment, looking forward to more of your posts! Your travel log has been a great source of fun, as has your comments with the pictures. You ever thought of doing a 'travel' book for the person who wants to really see the world about them?
