My Dragon Fly and Me

If I could be a Dragon Fly
and wing my way through the sky
I would never be shy
just me and my Dragon Fly!

By moonlight we ride the wind
chase the comets tail for fun
by day we would hide from the sun
our fragile wings would come undone

On darkest nights we would use
fireflies as our guide
we would dip and we would glide
through the heavens open wide
and scatter diamonds in the night sky
my Dragon Fly and me...

And we would wing past our lovers
silent in the night...
to kiss their face in our flight
much to their surprise and delight
my Dragon Fly and me in sight...

Such a view do we share
away up here in the air
of breezes soft through our hair
my Dragon Fly and me a pair...

Nice smile;o). Good Morning to you, Ms. feathers. We had rain overnight, but the sun is shining today.

Not today. I have some work things to do for Monday. I have two kindergarten students (twins) that I have to assess, and neither one speaks much (they can talk, but for some reason don't). So, I have to use an assessment tool I've not used before and I have to practice using it by testing my granddaughter (my guinea pig ;o). She's been begging me to bring home some tests to give her anyway.

I have read twins have their own language, these kids probably just don't want to talk to anyone other than one another.

;)

I know, too, simple, huh??

In many cases this is true. However, these two don't even talk to each other. There are also concerns about their motor skills (one can't drink from a cup, or pick up things with thumb and fingers - only with a closed fist grip). Hearbreaking, really.

If we can figure out what's going on with them, we can develop a plan to remediate the problems and help them develop those skills they are deficient in. The earlier we put together a cohesive plan, the more likely their outcome will be good.

Pinnacle Perching

Evasion internal, sets up one for a fall
as the central pillar of our self erodes
and we begin that long, dark drop into madness.

Yet a single other us, who’s call
deflects even sadness heavy loads
upon our sad mind, and we fill up with gladness.

We are not oft strong in the long haul
and we worry what everything bodes
everyday, until we lose to simple overrunning sadness.

We have the same here. Brilliant sunshine - cool crisp air. Birds singing melodically from the trees. Can't ask for better.

That is good to know. I did hear on the news, though, that there was a Noreaster blowing somewhere on your side.
