Complete Confidence or Wishful Thinking?

Posted on 10/19/2006 11:37:18 AM PDT by albie

I personally refuse to and simply cannot believe that the American people, as a whole, would be stupid or uninformed enough to vote Democrat. The issues will be the deciding factor in this election, as always. National security is a major issue, economy is great. Republicans will win both houses. I'm convinced based on this. What is YOUR one shining reason that you're convinced of a continued Republican majority? I'd love to hear your take.

Some might say denial.

Looks like the conservatives are going to slit their own throats by electing liberals.

It's ironic that the rest of the democratic world is just now realizing the foolishness of electing liberals, and is trying to correct its mistake even as we are committing suicide by returning them to power.

Oh, I can believe it.

What the politically stupid don't get is that if Republicans lose the House, our legislators will figure to get elected they have to become MORE liberal or moderate.

They won't figure they have to become more conservative. The House is already loaded with more conservatives than the Senate.

American people are never polled about their anger at the MSM and Democrats. I believe the American public is sick of the incessant lies being fed to them from the MSM and Dems. Dems and MSM are incestuously tied together against the general American public. They represent the elites and will pay at election day. Militant Islamic terrorists vote democrat.

Exactly. They hate compassionate conservatism - that's what happened with 8 years of a Democrat president who was only elected because Ross Perot siphoned off votes that would have gone to Bush.

I like to think people bitch and moan and threaten to stay home or vote for the Dems but once the curtain is drawn they do what makes sense. But hey, I'm a glass half full guy.

I'm not, but I'll crawl over broken glass on my hands and knees to get to the booth.

And none of the speculation matters unless we get out and VOTE!

The whole "poll/Foley/Iraqasquagmire" thing is to dishearten pubbies from voting. Remember, while we try to turn out our base to vote, the left has no ideas, and their best hope (well, other than their usual tricks of fraud and dead people voting) is to discourage us from voting. DON'T LET THEM!

I am making sure all my family (the pubbies anyway, LOL!) are voting early by absentee ballot so that there is no risk of them being unable to go vote on election day.

Ding, ding, ding! We have the winners here!

I'm NOT convinced. I'm scared whitless.

All the polls are one-sided. The MSM (all forms) are piling on. It's enough to depress anybody into thinking they might just as well stay home on the 7th. When's the last time you heard about a corupt DEM during this cycle? Never comes to mind.

Stenny Hoyer even get's to be an outright racist in MD and the MSM carries his water.

Keep in mind the rampant fraud and cheating that WILL occur and we could very well lose it all. Not gonna be a pretty sight.

Just my humble "O"...

Most people simply vote the way their family and friends do and don't even think about it from one generation to the next.
