As we settle into the nighttime of dispair, fret not, for the Sun will rise again.
Good morning!!
We, here, will never forget those who died on September 11, 2001, and whose lives we cherish as we seek to protect the Republic from all who will do her harm.
Reports this morning indicate that Nancy Pelosi is continuing her agenda to do great damage to the Nation within her first hundred hours as Speaker. Heck--she's already establishing a record by positioning herself, now, to undertake that task.
Representative Murtha, who once upon a time was a decorated soldier, has now managed to put himself on the wrong side of just about every defense issue that has come before the legislature.
This, of course, was of little matter until last Tuesday. Now with the results of the voters in, the matter is taking on a new sense of urgency. After all, he will be in a position to influence the new Congress on his anti-war views.
And, boy, will he. Nancy Pelosi, in an attempt to repay him for his support of her for the Whip position in 2001, has come out and said that Mr. Murtha, whose desire for creating a catastrophe in Iraq, and setting the state for a future one in America, are well known, should be the next House Majority Leader.
This queued up the next shoe to fall. Incoming Senate Armed Services Committee Chairman, Carl Levin, has declared that the United States should begin phased withdrawls from Iraq in four to six months.
This is code for "out as soon as we can get the legislative handcuffs on George". Four months from now, which has to be the real timetable (in Washington parlance, the six month marker is only if things don't work for the earlier date), is March, only about a month after Congress really sits down for work.
Which brings us back to Murtha. Pelosi is out to reward him for his anti-war efforts, saying "With respect to Iraq in particular, I salute your courageous leadership that changed the national debate and helped make Iraq the central issue of this historic election". She went on to remark that Iraq only weakens our military.
This is a positively frightening issue, folks. Going to war weakens our military. So the converse is where the incoming legislative leaders must sit--to keep our militray unused makes us strong.
Terrorist leaders in Iraq noted after the election that they looked upon Democrats to keep their campaign promises to pull America out of Iraq.
Seeing as there is no war too important too lose, the Democrats are well on their way to that promise.
For AMERICA - The Right Way, I remain yours in the Cause, the Chairman.
LET'S ROLL!!!
I must have misplaced my Newspeak v.2.2 dictionary.
WAR IS PEACE.
Good morning. A perfect storm is brewing in terms of the jihadists, Iran, North Korea, and America.
Democrats don't mind, and in fact are encouraging, our military to look weak during a threatening period in our nation's history.
I need to go get my granddaughter. Back later.
Good morning all.

Thanks for the start Chairman!
Okay, time to get moving.
Good "Rainy" Morning to everyone.
Continued prayers lifted for those with personal needs.
I'm off to start my day. bbl
During the time the power was out, I heard a tree go down somewhere near us. I don't believe it was on our property but somewhere in the woods beyond the house. I heard and felt the thud. Scary!! I just heard that there were several gusts of 100 MPH winds in unprotected coastal areas....GOOD GRIEF!!!!
Friday night, I woke with a start and wondered what the noise was. It sounded like a loud truck engine running. When I went to the window and listened, I realized it was the sound of the ocean roaring. Guess I knew then that the incoming storm was going to be a nasty one. Not a lot of rain with this system - only 1" overnight and now, the stars are out. What a difference a couple of hours can make.
He says the first 7 or 8 months of Dim control will be taken up with the investigations, the impeachment of President Bush and Dick Cheney AND their incarceration!!!
He read from a "news source" that Germany had indicted President Bush for "war crimes and breaking international law".
What is this all about???
I also listened to the Friday rerun of Randy Roads to see what she was talking about...she says the Republicans are going to be indicted over the theft of the 2000 and 2004 elections! Nothing new there - SAME OLD SAME OLD!!!!
Germany has a law that says that war crimes anywhere in the world are under their jurisdiction (something apparently passed after WWII). Some leftist group from America has filed a case over there and it will probably get thrown out, like it did the last time.

Yup. They're still NUTZ!
Woohoo!! I lucked out at the grocery store. Two 18# bags of Nine Lives Plus cat food for $10.99/BOGO free and a 37.5 bag of Purina One for $22.00 because of an in store coupon for $5.00 off $40.00 order. The pets will eat for another month or 2. LOL
Great shopping lysie!
It's back to the closet (cleaning) for me!
One thing I refuse to do that used to be associated with the domestic title is.. watch soap operas or munch on bon bons. LOL
I prefer watching Walker, Texas Ranger. It's a Chuck Norris thing I have and how the bad guy gets it.
It must be from my younger days watching the Lone Ranger and Roy Rogers. ;-)
bev, that wind and storm sounds frightening! We had a storm on Mothers Day this year where the wind blew 80mph straight wind, for over an hour. I'd never seen anything like it. Glad you and your home are OK.
Hello everybody. We made it to Chi-town. While I've enjoyed going around to some favorite places this morning while running errands I know that will soon wear off. Plain truth, I'm so glad we moved away from here.
It was a long drive but we made it safely. Thanks for the prayers, I'll be needing more after tomorrow as we go to see our terminally ill friend.
I must be in complete melt down!!!!!!!...lol
