The object was round, silverish, and had slowly blinking green/blue lights around the perimeter. The bottom was relatively flat. the top sloped up to a "dome-like cockpit" with windows. The object made a whirring noise similar to a quieter turbine engine.

Size of Object(s)
If I framed the object between my left and right hands, my hands would be about 3 feet apart.

Distance to Object(s) & Altitude
I estimate that the object was 150-200 feet in the air directly above me.

Description of Area / Surroundings
It was a flat, isolated stretch of rural Tennessee highway. The area was primary soybean and cotton fields. There were no other cars in either direction.

Full Description & Details
We were the only car on a long stretch of rural highway between Paris and McKenzie, Tennessee. It was a Sunday night and my roommate and I were returning to college. We were talking and listening to the radio. Suddenly, we saw streaks of light coming from the top of our windshield. There was no noise. From inside the car, we could not see the source of the light.

There were no other cars coming in either direction. We stopped the car on the road and got out. Directly above our car was a round disc-like object with windows. It had a raised dome "cock'pit" in the center of the top half. It was hovering and spinning effortlessly about 200 feet directly above us. It made a quiet whirring noise. The sparks of light had stopped. There were lights flashing on and off around the edges of the object.

We watched for approximately two minutes as the object stayed right above us and our car. Suddently, the object went from standing still to a startling speed in 1 or 2 seconds. It was several miles away and made a 90 degree turn to the east without ANY loss of speed. My roommate and I got back in our car to finish our journey to school. We were speechless for about 10 minutes. That night on the 10 o'clock news, it was reported that there were identical sightings of the same object in six different states.

Can sighting be explained as any conventional man-made or natural object?
No. The closeness of the object made it very easy to see. The most startling thing was the extreme speed it reached within 1-2 seconds and the 90 degree turn it made without any loss of velocity.

Since a child, I was always interested in science fiction comic books and movies. I was always very open minded to the possibility of UFO and alien existence. After the sighting, I was even more convinced.

Other Comments
The closeness of the experience erased any and all doubt in mind.......this was definitely a UFO........and NOT a conventional (then or now) aircraft.

Appearance / Description of Object(s)
It was shaped like a rectangle, but with the top edges more rounded. It seemed to be of a dark material except where the sunshine reflected off it. It had five tall rectangular windows. The edges of this object appeared to be "fuzzy" not clear, perhaps because of the sunlight reflecting off it.

Size of Object(s)
Based upon the size of the person inside, I would guess the object to be around 50 to 60 feet in diameter. As to height, I would guess it to be about 10 feet. Again, assuming the person inside was 6 feet tall.

Description of Area / Surroundings
Our home was located in Westerville, Ohio, a suburb of Columbus. There was a small creek behind out house as well as a sizeable retaining pond. To the south, several miles away, lies Port Columbus International Airport. A relatively short distance to the east is the large Hoover Resevoir.

Full Description & Details
The bright object that we saw was not an aircraft, Goodyear blimp, helicopter, Canada geese, space satellite, or the planet Venus. We looked at the object off and on for a period of about 40 minutes. The object was still there in about the same location the next afternoon. The object made no noise that we could detect. It reflected sunlight in the late afternoon or early evening. As far as we could tell, it remained stationary. There was some dark material that surrounded this object, but not any lare metallic mass that would constitute the body of some aircraft.

There was a "man" standing in the object. My wife and I could see him clearly through the 5 rectangular windows. He was wearing a white or, light-colored one-piece suit from the neck on down. It covered "his" two arms to his wrists. He didn't wear any eyeglasses, hat, or gloves. He wasn't heavy set, but rather slender. He wasn't wearing, as far as we could tell, any helmut. At one time, he moved a short distance (1 or 2 steps?) toward the left side of the object. It seemed to me that "he" walking communicating with someone on the left side, but we could not see who or what it was because the windows didn't reach that far. "He" put his left arm up on an object that looked like some type of cabinet. It was the only piece of equipment or, furniture that could be seen. There was a soft yellow light that was coming from inside the object. I don't remember seeing any facial features or hair on this person.

Can sighting be explained as any conventional man-made or natural object?
At first I thought that perhaps it could have been one large satellite, but when I looked through my field glasses, I knew that it was not. It also wasn't birds, an airplane, helicopter, a blimp, weather balloon, or swamp gas.

When I first saw this object, I had no idea what it was. Then, it dawned on me that perhaps it was one of those UFOs that I had read about in the past. I am still not sure what it was that I saw.

The following is the report that the witness submitted to the National UFO Reporting Center (reported to NUFORC on April, 23, 2005):

"Duration: 40 minutes. My wife and I were sitting on our screened-in porch at our home in Westerville, Ohio, which faces east.

At around 6:00 pm on an October evening, we saw a large bright stationary object in the southeast sky. I tended to ignore it for awhile. I thought that perhaps it was a communications satellite.

I went into the house and got by 7 x 50 field glasses to help identify the object. It was no helicopter, commerical or military aircraft, and certainly not one of those blimps that occasionally make its way down to the Ohio State University to cover a football game.

As far as I could tell, it didn't move. There was no noise coming from it. The object was perhaps 50 to 60 feet in diameter. The setting sun was reflecting off the object and made it somewhat difficult to see.

As far as I could tell, there were no external lights. There were 5 large rectangular windows that took up much of the space of this object. There was a yellow glow in the interior.

I saw a person dressed in a light-colored single piece suit from the neck down. The person had a head, 2 arms, and a body. He appeared to move only once and only slightly. It stood next to what appeared to be a "file cabinet", which stood as tall as his shoulder.

There was some mass around these windows but nothing that would constitute the body of some aircraft. The next evening, my wife and I saw the same object.

I called a local television station to report what I had seen and if anybody had any idea what it was. The lady gave me some answer and that was the last that I heard of this object.

As far as I know, nothing was reported on any television news broadcast or, printed in the Columbus Dispatch. Surely, others in the area must have seen this object. I know what I saw, but I have no idea what I saw."

Comments about the image(s): These are some pictures I took of my sighting that you requested. (1.) Is coming down the hill. (2.) Is near the bottom of the hill. (3.) Is next to the golf course. (4.) Large picture shows area a few miles west of Traverse City, MI. I used a circle to represent object although I don't actually know what shape it actually had. I did try to show sizes although since it gave off so much light it could have been smaller or larger. The object seemed rectangular shaped ([[[[[[[[]]]]]]]]]]]]]]]]]). It had a brilliant or bright white light emitting from it.

Size of Object(s)
Relatively, my hand would have to be sideways outstretched to cover the object. Actual size 150 to 200 feet long by 20 or maybe 30 feet tall. It was so bright and low that the height could probably vary.

Distance to Object(s) & Altitude
Distance away 600 yards. Just above treeline. 200 or 300feet in the air off ground.

Description of Area / Surroundings
Traverse City West is a rolling rural area of subs and farms. The object was directly over the golf course. The Grand Traverse Area is a Beautiful place to live with it's peninnsula's and bays. Google Image it.

Full Description & Details
After a Traverse City West High School football game which I believe was in 2001 I stopped to get gas at Meijer(local gas station). I then headed west home. At a stop sign at the top of Barnes Road I could see a bank of bright lights overtop some pines. I immediately thought it was an airplane coming into Cherry Capital Airport. I turned right and then left onto Harris? and then right onto Cedar run. After about 2 miles I came to the hill that goes down to the golf course. Coming down the hill I could see this enormous craft with brilliant lighting hanging in the air above the golf course. I knew it was not an airplane because it was not moving, and it was to big to be a helicopter. As I came right up and parallel to the golf course I slowed down and rolled down my window. I could not hear a sound. At this point I began to shake. I was very afraid and continued on. My son was in the back of the van and I was fearing for our safety. The object was probably overtop the trees less than 200 feet. It was probably only about 600 yards away and for sure within 1/4 mile. I continued west over a hill and on the left there are 2 houses. I cannot remember which house, but at one there were 2 people standing outside looking in the direction of this aircraft. Farther up the road an airplane was approachingfrom the west heading east towards Traverse City unremarkably. I have stopped at one house and one person did not see anything. There are many houses in the area and I plan on stopping atleast to the two houses where people were standing.

Can sighting be explained as any conventional man-made or natural object?
The only object it could of been other than extraterrestrial, would be some kind of new stealth craft that our government has developed. No sound! How convenient.

I did not no much about ufo's until after this episode. I knew people have always seen things but most could be explained. I have always been somewhat of a skeptical person. I need facts. I read one book about the bermuda triangle when I was young.

It was a shadow of a black triangle with three lights on the edges and a red light in the middle. No flickering lights, just glowing.

Size of Object(s)
As I wrote: it seemed to be very large. 30 or 40 meters each side. Don't know what this is in ft.

Hard to tell. I would say within 7 to 800 meters

River, object on the other side, hardly above the wood. It was outside of the city, No other lights.

Full Description & Details:
It was a warm summernight. Have been out at the river Isar - me and two girls and a freind of mine.

Lying on the warm beach and looking into the sky. Suddenly one of the girls, which never had seen a shooting star in her life said: Look at this. Is this a shooting star?

What we have seen was absolutely breathtaking: Three multicolured lights with a triangle dark shadow between the edges hoovered over the sky from west to east. It was from our point of view in a short distance to the horizon and was incredible big. The distances between the lights must have been 30 to 40 meters.

There was absolutely no noise at all. The lights stay in the same distances to each other the whole time of the sighting. There was a light dust in the sky from the river. The object was flying at low speed and vanished east in the dust.

It is a long time ago. Trying to find the witnesses will be not easy, but not impossible.

I did an animation of the sighting. Could not manage to get the lights in the manner as they have been (multicoloured). But there is a photograph of a flying triangle on the website of cnuforg that shows the colours exactly in the way it was.

Can sighting be explained as any conventional man-made or natural object?
No -never seen anything like that before. But it was the time of the first Irakian war. Could it have been a secret US-airforce object? But -there was no noise at all !!!
