The FreeRepublic Saddle Club thread! - Thread 11

Posted on 01/02/2007 9:57:39 AM PST by HairOfTheDog

The FreeRepublic Saddle Club - (very out of date) Who's Who *pics*

This is a horse chat thread where we share ideas, ask for input from other horsemen, and talk about our riding and horse-keeping. We have a lot of different kinds of riders and horses, and a lot to share. In the previous threads we have had a great time talking through lessons, training, horse lamenesses, illnesses and pregnancies... and always sharing pictures and stories.

I always have a link to this thread on my profile page, so if you have something to say and can't find the thread in latest posts… look for it there and wake the thread up!

I also have a ping list for horse threads that are of interest, and MissTargets will now be pinging everyone most mornings. Let MissTargets and/or me know if you would like to be on the ping list. As FreeRepublic is a political site, our politics and other issues will probably blend in…. There are many issues for horsemen that touch politics… land use, animal rights/abuse cases that make the news…. Legislation that might affect horse owners.

So... like the previous threads, this is intended as fun place to come and share stories, pictures, questions and chit-chat, unguided and unmoderated and that we come together here as friends. There are lots of ways of doing things and we all have our quirks, tricks and specialties that are neat to learn about.

I just got off the phone with the guy that owns the website. He gave me her email address and the physical address. He said he will pull the ad and email me any information he has in addition on this person so I can contact law enforcement. He was really most gracious and anxious to clear it up so it appears the website is on the up and up anyway.

So the good news is, only a moron would buy a horse from her.

He doesn't look 8 either.

That part is copied and pasted from my original ad. :) Oh, I so want to ring her neck.

That also blows me away. How could anyone look at that picture and see a 8yr old horse that a child could ride?

Just so you know or in case you need it later, I did save the whole page, so in case you need something off of it after he pulls it, it's preserved.

The part about him throwing color or the gelding part?

I mean, I know you don't like the horse much :~)

I don't know. I think he clearly looks juvenile still in the picture, not an 8 year old horse. But there's a lot that doesn't make sense about what she did.

You should post something about this on the horse forum. There's a lot of those folks that look at online ads, some for real money, I guess one shouldn't assume there's real horses behind the ads unless they go look.

Thanks. He just emailed me a screen shot also. He also emailed me the ISP information, the address she used to register which was Fort Pierce, Florida although he said the ISP is Boca Raton, Florida

I'm going to see if I can find a Hutch Ranch or that address in Ft Pierce or Boca Raton.

I really don't like him but I haven't gelded him yet :) He will throw 100% color.

I thought about posting on horse.com, guess I'll see what I can find out first.

That's great, thanks. I'm frustrated :) There is apparently no 354 Kindle Drive in Ft Pierce, or in Port St Lucie which is where the zip code she gave is. Her email address is hutchranch@aol.com but I can't email her for fear she will recognize me (although she seems pretty stupid)

Well, it's not surprising it might be a completely made up address.

I wouldn't want to risk spooking her too much either.

Any idea what law enforcement agency to report it to?

No, I can't tell who would cover that area but I'll check at work tomorrow. My niece is going to email her and see if she gets a reply. And I'm thinking that on Momdy our computer person at work can tell me something about how to find out information from the ISP stuff.

Maybe here?

Welcome to IC3

The Internet Crime Complaint Center (IC3) is a partnership between the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and the National White Collar Crime Center (NW3C).

IC3's mission is to serve as a vehicle to receive, develop, and refer criminal complaints regarding the rapidly expanding arena of cyber crime. The IC3 gives the victims of cyber crime a convenient and easy-to-use reporting mechanism that alerts authorities of suspected criminal or civil violations. For law enforcement and regulatory agencies at the federal, state, local and international level, IC3 provides a central referral mechanism for complaints involving Internet related crimes.

You are outstanding :) That would be great to get a real address. The one she gave the website was 354 Kindle Drive, Ft Pierce Florida but the zip of 34953 is Port St Lucie Florida.
