I'd much rather see him than Michael Irvin.

The thing about a position like punter is you can never argue that they benefited or suffered from the players they had around them.

I can understand why you'd want to repress it.

If not for Scott Norwood Thurman Thomas would have been a Super Bowl MVP.

Thurman Thomas had some incredible years and it is a shame that team never won a Super Bowl. They were the best team in the league for several years, but never could get it done in the Super Bowl. Norwood was a heck of a kicker, but will never live that down.

He was a turf kicker trying a long one grass. I was pretty sure he wouldn't make it at the time. I still think that was the best Super Bowl ever played.

What? No ex-Steelers nominated? Looks like the PFHOF is slipping.

Yeah, it would be real interesting to see if any steroid qualifiers apply to these guys............given that pretty much the whole league takes the stuff to a far greater extent than any baseball player.............!!!

My first thought is, a lot of them. Really, I'd have to check rosters vs who's in already the PFHOF.

Well, yes and no...he needs a good long snapper and enough protection to get the punt off.

Still Guy was also one of the most accurate punters I've ever seen. He could hook that sidelines near the endzone better than anyone. And football is as much about field position as anything else

My father said the hang time on his punts were so long they helped run out the clock.

Another punter that could find that "coffin corner" was Danny White, before moving to full time QB.

Thanx for the link. Just shows that there are a lot of ex-Steelers left to fill up the Hall. As there are a lot of ex-Cowboys, also. Maybe a sepaerate wing should be built for the both of them. };-)
