Report: Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox Will Kiss on FX's 'Dirt' Tuesday, January 23, 2007

Jennifer Aniston and Courteney Cox have played "Friends," but now their on-screen relationship is reportedly going to get a little "Dirt"-y.

The two will share an on-screen kiss when Aniston appears on Cox's new FX Networks show "Dirt," TVGuide.com is reporting.

Cox plays Lucy Spiller, a tabloid queen. Aniston will appear in the season finale as Tina Harrod, a rival magazine editor and a lesbian, according to the report.

Some how I don’t think an FX show titled “Dirt” is being promoted by anyone as good clean G-rated family entertainment.

Let the buyer or “watcher” and especially the parent beware.

If it’s not right for you or your kids to watch, then don’t watch.

There are some shows that I would not consider suitable for family viewing that were very good for some of us adults, like HBO’s Soprano’s.

I don't watch much TV at all so I have never even heard of the show.

But I am sure the show has a target audience that loves it. That target audience really doesn't care if we like it or not.

I actually watched one episode and I sort of liked it. I’ve always liked Courtney Cox. It wasn’t so bad if you understand that it is not family entertainment. If you like Rescue Me or Six Feet Under or Sex in the City – this might be OK for you. If not, stick to the Discovery Channel or something else.

It showed (or attempt to show) the sorted, seamy, love-hate relationship between the tabloid rags and the so-called celebrities and their flacks and how they both use one another and in the end try to manipulate the public for their own ends.

If you can get past the “adult” themes and the shock value of it all, it doesn’t paint a very pretty picture of the Hollywood culture. Most of the characters are shown as being immoral and shallow and self serving.

Well it is called “Dirt” after all.

Perhaps Ms. Cox and Ms. Aniston have had enough dealings with the tabloids over the years to have some sort of perspective.

And just what is it with guys and lesbians? I don’t get it.

I have seen the advertisements for it. "Dirt" says it all, never watched, never will. Especially after this fiasco!! (warning! explicit and extremely graphic and offensive!)

As much as I wouldn't want to see that! or two lesbians, it would have been preferable to what the homosexual men were shown doing, by a long shot. Not saying much, though, is it!

Exactly what we are doing in our house. In fact, FX has been added to the list of blocked channels. Too bad, because they used to have a few good shows. But these fiasco's were not even broadcast with a warning.............block!!!

I'll have to Tivo and view the offending episode several times so that I can properly plumb the depths of my moral outrage.

I watched about 5 minutes of the premiere of this show. Until it got to a pornographic scene that was not suitable for a standard, primetime cable station. The sex scene included nudity, several positions, etc.

What channnel? Sounds good to me! :)

Its all about what is visually stimulating.
