Louisville, Ky. -- A PETA member dressed as a blood-soaked Col. Sanders will be hung upside-down from scaffolding outside a KFC restaurant and have his throat "cut" by a giant "chicken" under a banner that reads, "KFC Cuts Live Animals Throats." Other PETA members will hand out leaflets to passersby. The public "slaughter" is a protest against the suffering endured by the more than 850 million chickens raised and killed for KFC each year.
Date: Wednesday, January 31
Time: 12 noon
Place: KFC, 1004 Bardstown Rd.
Why is PETAs "chicken" exacting revenge on the Colonel? Chickens are excluded from the Humane Slaughter Act, the only federal law that protects animals killed for food. Chickens raised and killed for KFC are drugged and bred to grow so large that many become crippled under their own weight. Many also have their throats slit while they are still conscious and are scalded to death in defeathering tanks. KFC ignored the recommendations of members of its own animal welfare advisory panel, including five members who have since resigned in frustration.
"To 850 million chickens and kind people worldwide, KFC means Kentucky Fried Cruelty," says PETA Vice President Bruce Friedrich. "If KFC executives abused cats or dogs
or even pigs or cowsthe way that they abuse chickens, they could be thrown in prison on felony charges of cruelty to animals."

Chickens are excluded from the Humane Slaughter Act
These lunatics don't wear shoes?
What about all those sensitive, caring, rubber trees that are "slaughtered" to make their designer tennis shoes, etc.?
To: SJackson
Baaaah, did they expect them to cut DEAD chickens throats?

That's not going to be good for business.

You've got to counter this. All you need to do is eat KFC on that day in front of them.

I consider PETA to be a terrorist outfit.
There are as many nut cases in that outfit as any other, just a different kind of terorist.

Regardless of where they're standing, they'll probably be on either public, private, or company property. The local constabulary shoud be waiting to drag them off face-down and feet-first the second they start showing their asses. A wise property owner would be ready to impose a couple barrels of rock salt into their sunless little buttcheeks.

Man, I wish I lived in Louisville.
I'd munch down a bucket of extra-crispy right in front of those granola wussies.

The public "slaughter" is a protest against the suffering endured by the more than 850 million chickens raised and killed for KFC each year.I thought KFC bought its chicken from suppliers.
If you ask me, the restaurant chain is being targeted because it makes for good "public eye bait." If Peta targeted a chicken farm or supplier, no one would know or care who they're talking about.
It has nothing to do with cruelty to animals, and everything to do with PR.

I have to admit it.
There's something weirdly intriguing about watching a spectacle like this.
If I were in the Louisville area, I'd stop by and watch.

Maybe I could show and, in turn, market necessary supplements to the PETA numbnuts. "Do you know that by not eating meat and dairy that you're missing out on many vital vitamins and minerals you need to lead a healthy existence?"
Yeah, dumbasses like you that run divergent to the laws of nature rely solely upon modern advances in nutrition to keep your little emo asses alive.
In fact, you little turd burglars are a quaint little side effect of an evolved society that is so advanced, it can actually produce types that lose touch with the natural ways of the planet (too many Disney movies as a child can do that to you.)

I'd watch sipping a milk shake, and eating popcorn chicken.
It's chilly out so I would wear my wool sweater and leather jacket.

I just called this number and told a very polite young lady that I would be buying their products for a family supper tonight. I hadn't planned on chicken this evening, but if this is the only way I can fight back against PETA, then I'm buying KFC.
These people are on trial for slaughtering thousands of animals. Read up on the case and you will be sickened by their political agenda. DO AS I SAY. EAT WHAT I SAY. WEAR WHAT I SAY. THINK WHAT I SAY.
I used to laugh at PETA even five years ago, now that I know what they are, I am appalled and angry that such sickness is allowed by our gov't.
