Do we have his reaction on camera like Faith Hill's was?
To: PJ-Comix
He must have heard that there were some cross dressing hookers outside the theater.

He's going to be crushed at Cannes when Norbit doesn't win anything.
To: PJ-Comix
Hey who knows...he could win best actor or actress for the 'norbit' movie:

George C Scott and Marlon Brando have both indicated that the Oscars is a long drawn out boring event and pretty much a hassle to attend.
I suspect that the only reason that Eddie even bothered attending was because he had a nomination.
I myself haven't watched the Oscars in years, decades even, it's boring and painful to watch.
I'd probably leave too.

PJ, he really had the best performance in that movie. Did his own singing and choreography. Don't blame him for leaving. I didn't watch the show, but FOUR plus hours? I'd have left too.

Eddie needs to realize that the Oscars are politically correct and boring.
If he wants to win a Oscar, he needs to do a pro-abortion or anti-republican movie. He'll be a shoe in.

Get over yourself, Eddie. Sometimes you win and sometimes you lose. But with an attitude like that, he's going to lose a lot more often. You are relying on votes from the Academy for these things. The members are not going to vote for a sore-head.

Eddie is an enterntainer. Alan Arkin is an actor. Big difference.
Get a grip, Eddie.

I think he took off because it was a boring, crappy show. Why should he stay and who really gives a rat's patootie, anyway??

A few years ago, Rene Zellwenger lost to Nicole Kidman...Rene was up for Chicago and Nicole won because she wore an ugly nose prosthesis, remember that?
Anyway, Rene was quite upset and left the after dinner early and in tears and guess what, she won the next year....so maybe Eddie will win next year...although probably not for Norbit,,,hee hee

At least Eddie makes movies people actually want to see, unlike most of the winners who had 1/10th the boxoffice that Eddie's have.
Eddie is crying all the way to the bank.

I don't know his political leanings, but I have heard from other comedians and from people who meet him for the first time, that he is a very gentle and humble man.
Fifteen years ago, a friend relayed this story about her aunt's visit to Las Vegas:
The aunt had gone to Vegas for a weekend of gambling with several friends.
After the final day of gambling and losing, she turned to head to the elevator to go to her room for the night, ready to check out the next day. As she started up, the elevator stopped to let on two black men.
One of the men said, "Hit it."
The woman went sprawled on the floor...expecting to be robbed. She remained there until her floor.
The men let her up and she exited the elevator, unhassled. Still, she worried they were following to mug her in her room. As she entered the room, she noticed the two men hiding beind a corner in the hall. And a moment later, she saw shadows near her door, and hushed voices.
Then, they went away.
THe next morning, as she went to check out, she went to pay the remainder of her bill. She was informed her entire stay was payed for and was handed a note:
"Thank you for the best laugh I have ever had."
Signed, "Eddie Murphy"
Apparantly, when she was on the elevator, it was Eddie and a friend, and when one of them said, "Hit it," he meant, "Hit the button to our floor," not "Hit the floor, lady."
