A cellphone camera recorded the gang sex assault of a 16-year-old girl -- allegedly by four students at Cawthra Park Secondary School in Mississauga -- police say.
Peel Regional Police have seized electronic equipment and are now trying to determine if images were uploaded and if there are victims who haven't come forward.
"It certainly is quite an eye-opener for a lot of people in the community," Det. Peter Riemenschneider said.
VICTIM DRUGGED?
Police "have some suspicions" the victim was drugged.
"She has some memories of certain events that occurred that evening, but not a lot," he said. The girl made her way to Trillium hospital where she was treated at its Chantel's Place, a centre for sex assault victims.
Police are asking for witnesses or anyone who may know about the case to come forward.
"Are there any other people out there who that had something similar happen to them, or is there some video of other girls out there that we don't know about?" Riemenschneider sad.
NOT A GOOD FRIEND
The attack took place after a group of young men got together Feb. 25 to spend the evening at a house.
Some left and the victim, who is acquainted with the suspects, arrived a short time later, Riemenschneider said.
The victim had socialized with the suspects in the past, but wasn't considered a good friend, he said.
Philip Perry, 18, Barton Reeder, 18, and two 17-year-old males who can't be identified, face numerous charges. Perry is also charged with threatening death.
Yet time after time we have people videotaping rapes and assaults, not as evidence, but as mementos or for bragging purposes or for internet broadcasting.
Psychopathic behaviour is becoming normative.
What can yopu expect when they watch the TV shows that are on today, when they teach homosexuality and sex education in schools instead of the 3 R's. ,when they listen to gangsta rap and its lyrics. When the ACLU attacks religion.
Put it all together and it adds up to a complete lakc of morals.
these slime need a session with Jack Bauer and his cigar trimmer from this past Mondays '24'.
It also adds up to a lack of fear of consequences. Why should a 17 year old rapist have his or her name withheld? Why should a minor with a history of violent crime have a clean record for their 18th birthday present. It seems we are showing kids how to act like adults without adult consequences. Free pass, do what you like.
Fear of consequences, shame, guilt...they support and form a basis for morality. Otherwise there is little or nothing to fill in the gap between impulse and action.
Quite true.
I don't know, but I'm glad it's catching on. We used to roll guys up in Iraq that would claim to be totally innocent, and then they'd have a hard drive full of incriminating evidence. Including videos of themselves hi-fiving each other after getting their jihad on. (Some of the best videos are posthumous, as they didn't survive the 'photo shoot') Many are not, and make great evidence.
Savage people are almost always equally stupid. If you're going to do a horrific crime, for the love of God, please videotape yourself doing it. Give the files really obvious names, especially ones that names the crime specifically. The look on your face when you realize how dumb you were for videotaping yourself is priceless.
The only solution for rape by a minor is to change the law so that committing rape automatically promotes the perpetrator to adult status. If the perp are old enough and mean enough to commit rape the perp is an adult, no matter what the chronological age may be.
Just wait until the boys' parents come out in the press talking about how that little tramp seduced their sons.
Or how they were good kids who fell in with the wrong group.
An American Expat in Southeast Asia - The Lynching and the Trial of Ann Coulter
Season 5 was good. Get it. Good projection about what could happen if a good President were taken down and replaced by a weasel VP.
And now we get to project about the weasel VP coming out of rehab and repenting...

I believe it was our late Senator Patick Moynihan was stated that "deviancy has been defined downward" a version of your description. Technology has been harnessed to triumph this behavior.
What would be the punishment for these rapists ?
It's time for frontier justice to be the same.
