CLEVELAND (AP) -- The Browns finally tackled Jamal Lewis.
Unable to reach a deal to remain in Baltimore, the free agent running back signed a one-year deal on Wednesday with Cleveland, the team he blistered for an NFL single-game record 295 yards in 2003.
Lewis was released last week in a salary-cap move by the Ravens, who elected not to pay their career rushing leader a $5 million roster bonus. He'll now join the Browns, Baltimore's AFC North rival, who were last in the league in rushing in 2006.

Damn. Now all we have to do is draft Quinn and I can look forward to 5 more years of mediocrity.

Sigh. At least the Indians are going to be good this year.... right??? Please tell me that one of our teams is going to do well this year.... PLEASE! (the Cavs don't count because they will choke in the playoffs)
I said this on another thread, but I'm still begging Phil Savage to trade the first round pick for Matt Shaub. Considering our luck with first rounders, I'd consider it a bargain. If we do keep it, then I'd be happy with either Adrian Peterson or Calvin Johnson. Quinn smells like a re-upholstered Couch.
I was listening to Phil Savage on WTAM this morning praising Quinn. Ugh. I hope that is misdirection.
Trading for Schaub would be a great move. He's proven and he is pretty darn talented. Heck, trade down, collect picks, and then select solid prospects who will be able to play sooner rather than later.
If they pick Quinn I am done rooting for this team. Seriously.
You and me both. Sometimes I wonder if any "Football People" actually watched Quinn play last year.
He played like crap in their three biggest games of the year.
I saw Quinn play live vs. Michigan....ugh
And re ran up all those big numbers in a season where he played all three service academies. As a former player for one of those service academies, I'll be the first to say "Big @*%#'n deal."
They'll get one good year out of him. The NFL's policy of being able to essentially work year-to-year contracts is a big part of these signings. Bonus money, bonus money, bonus money.
