Totally agree. I hated her grandstanding. I guess I like more calm people. She makes for good tv, but I really don't know if she was good lawyer for LB.

I was about to send you those very excerpts!

OMG! Great job by Roger Freidman.

Have we escalated to 'conspiracy' with this revelation?

Do we now know WHY KE left town the day before Anna died. Was she bringing (unknowingly or knowingly) the "killer dose" to Howard??

Did she visit with Anna AND HOWARD the day before Daniel died?? Did the same thing occur??

Break has to do with the growing influence of HKS. Reported on courtTV after conversation with Opri. She has resigned because she is ethical and wouldn't do anyting unethical. Told LB that no matter what HKS says, LB needs to have an attorney.

Anna Nicole Smith Baby Saga Expands: Now Mom Wants Custody

By Brenda Davis
Mar 16, 2007

If you happen to watch any of the cable television news shows that hit the Anna Nicole Smith saga with any regularity you will find very few panelists that are fans of Anna Nicole's live in boyfriend at the time of her death. Howard K. Stern is routinely slammed on the programs and hints are dropped by many 'experts' that they believe since he is the common denominator in the deaths of Anna and her son Daniel that he should be under scrutiny and investigation.

Anna Nicole Smith Baby Saga Expands: Now Mom Wants Custody

But for now Stern still has physical custody of Anna Nicole's baby Dannielynn Hope and has yet to allow a simple DNA test so that it can be determined exactly who the father of this poor little girl is.

***

If Virgie Arthur has her way, she will get custody of the child until the daddy is determined. A news report from TMZ details that She'll be in the Bahamas on Friday asking a judge to award her guardianship of Dannielynn -- this, according to Court TV Correspondent Jean Casarez.

Jean tells the news room that Virgie wants guardianship pending a ruling on who's the daddy.

But according to the report there are several obstacles standing in her way. In addition to the fact that Anna detested Virgie, Jean has learned that the Supreme Court of the Bahamas has directed Social Services on the island to do a background check on her. Social Services will also do background checks on Howard K. Stern and Larry Birkhead. The findings will be revealed in court tomorrow.

***

The item also divulges this shocker: And speaking of Social Services, Jean learned that there is no current investigation as to whether Dannielynn is currently in safe care with Howard K. Stern. That's because no formal complaint has ever been lodged.

Interesting. I found Laurie Payne's affidavit: http://cdn.digitalcity.com/tmz_documents/110206_birkhead_smith_wm_2.pdf --- I'd sure like to read G. Ben Thompson's. Is it just his word that he's had a vasectimony?

That is a shame. LB's not who we think he is. Why in the world would he want to bargain with HK$?

Jean Casarez of Court TV has just reported that she has talked to OPRI. Opri has resigned because she was being asked to do things that she, ethically as an attorney, could not do. The last thing Opri said to LB was,....if HKS wants to meet with you without an attorney present, DO NOT DO IT.

Casarez mused that it did potentially have to do with a deal.

wow....just wow....

Larry better be careful. Maybe he's thinking...just let me get DL and then any agreement can be fought in court. But Opri is implying that LB wants her to do something unethical...hmmm

History on the house:
The property at the center of the Anna Nicole Smith controversy was handed over by the British Colonial Hilton’s developer as part of an agreement to settle allegations that he received a $3 million fraudulent preference from a failed offshore bank run by Prime Minister Perry Christie’s brother.

Ron Kelly handed the property over to BDO Mann Judd accountant Clifford Culmer, the court-appointed liquidator for Americas International Bank Corporation (AIBC), to strike an out of court settlement and avoid the expense of a Privy Council appeal.

Mr Culmer and his attorney, Callenders & Co’s senior litigation partner, Michael Scott, had won verdicts over the alleged fraudulent preference at both the Supreme court and Court of Appeal levels.

Mr Kelly had in February 2006 won leave to appeal the verdict to the Court of Appeal verdict to the Privy Council, but instead decided to settle and use his Horizons property on Eastern Road as part of the settlement.

Details of the settlement came to light last week, when Callenders & Co confirmed that it had acted for Mr Culmer in conveying Horizons to Ben Thompson, the businessman and ex-boyfriend of Ms Nicole Smith, who is alleging that the property is not hers because she never obtained a mortgage to finance its purchase. In denying conflict of interest allegations, Callenders & Co had said: As to the position regarding conflict of interest, we acted for the vendors Kelly/Culmer/Thompson (Mr George Clifford Culmer was a liquidator involved in the transaction) with the knowledge and approval of both the vendors and the purchaser. It was only at the eleventh hour that the decision was made to put tittle in the name of Ms Marshall subject to financing.

The position ANS put both her children in is inexcusable.

I just cannot believe KE was "ordering" all that medication, one week after Daniel died. Incredible.

Guess she was more than a "friend".
