"Goen said that the public has an inaccurate view of Smith. He said she wasn't as wealthy as most people believe she would be as the widow billionaire J. Howard Marshall II. Goen said that her slurred speech could have more to do with her social anxiety than with being under the influence.

Don Hogan and John O'Qinn are 2 rugged handsome straight talkin' Texans - that's for sure.
It is unfortunate that Hogan left Virgie when Anna was an infant and apparently had no contact with her. He was also unaware of his grandchild Daniel, until Anna reached out to find him in 1992. They only had sporadic contact after that...because of their different lifestyles, I suppose.
It's reassuring that Don Hogan has supported Virgie in her effort to rescue their granddaughter Dannielyn - they are each trying to do the best under overwhelming odds. Money, elitism and bias from most of the media.
I cannot read some of the blogs that have swallowed the anti-Virgie hatred from ET. Mind-numbed robots. Walk a mile in that lady's shoes!!!!

I believe Anna was getting a monthly sum as part of the original deal. Dannie Lynn and/or Howard have lost that and I think it was a substantial amount.
They say she went through millions of dollars but I think Howard and KE have it "in the bank".
Prediction: We'll hear KE say that she will be selling Anna's dresses which Anna gave her because as we know, Anna only wore a dress once. The only dress she didn't give me was her wedding dress and the one from Marshall's funeral. They were too sentimental to her.
Kinda like the diaries appearing. The original story said the diaries were sold to Bonnie, Howard's sister...but that tidbit seems to have disappeared. (Laundering, laundering, laundering!!!)
I use his recipes a lot and they always come out good. Hubby took me to one of his restaurants in New Orleans last summer. One of the others was not open for business yet because of damage from KAtrina, so we went to the newest one called NOLA. Pretty dang good food. It was such a thrill for me. And my husband asked the waiter if Emeril was there so i could meet him. Of course, the answer was "so sorry, he's out of town". But it was great anyway. Actually my hubby got a little drunk and spilled his water on me. The whole restaurant went quiet for a minute. Good thing i was the one facing the wall cuz my face musta been beet red. I was so embarrassed. But we both just cracked up.

I could be wrong, but i thought he said that he tried to contact her a couple times after Daniel died. I'm not sure if he said he tried to call by phone and couldn't get thru or not. But he did say that he left messages "call your dad" on her website and go no reply.
Did anyone see the video of Marshall in which he makes the statement that "I, ...of sound mind" and was going to say something about ANS but the show went to break and when I got back from surfing, I missed it. Anyone?
