The prices at NOLA are iirc around $35-$40 a plate. Then add the appetizers and drinks. It's the cheapest of Emerils restaurants as i understand and has a more casual atmosphere than the others. It's decorated in a stainless steelish contemporary style. Don't get me wrong tho, there are white table cloths and formally dressed waiters.

DelMonico might be the one you're thinking of in Vegas. I forget which casino it's in. There's also a DelMonico in N.O. It's a steak house i believe. Then there's another one in N.O. which i don't know the name of. And there's one in Orlando too.

On our road trip last year we were planning to stop at The Lady and Sons too, and we too didn't make it. We had a '39 Chevy built in Ohio and it conked out in Indiana and so we were stuck in Indiana for 3 days (sorry Indiana is a very beautiful state. but 3 days sitting at Pep Boys ain't fun). As it turned out Pep Boys finished the car and we pulled out of their parking lot and the fuel pump went. So we had to send the car back to Ohio. So the 3 days got us off schedule as we had to be in FLA by a certain time. So it was a straight shot down from Indiana thru Kentucky and eventually right into FLA. Missed The Lady and Sons. Next time i hope. I understand the lines are very long. I don't think they take reservations. But i'm sure it's worth the wait in line. Paulas recipes are excellent too.

The restaurant would be Delmonicos. No menu, no prices. Big ouch!

I did see a site for El Cortez, though. It's almost impossible to find nickel slot machines. They had them years ago, and when we can afford it, we are going there! As for Emeril, his food is too expensive. Damn shame :(
