BIGFOOT, the legendary hairy man-beast said to roam the wildernesses of North America, is so rare it risks extinction and should be protected, according to a slightly confused Canadian MP.
"The debate over their existence is moot in the circumstance of their tenuous hold on merely existing," reads a petition presented by Mike Lake to Parliament.
"Therefore, the petitioners request the House of Commons to establish . . . legislation to affect immediate protection of Bigfoot."

The tenous hold on reality of many people who create laws that attempt to control you and I is scary.
Water hammers, a bucket of steam and, upper relative bearing grease are all becoming extinct - maybe he can include those as well.
