His son runs his website and is coordinating all the artwork for an upcoming DVD release. My husband drew the menu for the DVD. I’d describe it but it’s way too graphic for FR (as you can probably imagine). We’re flying to Detroit for the Negative Approach show with The Meatmen on the 26th. Gonna be a blast!!!!! Countin’ down the days now....

No worries, HG. Looking back on the music scene of the 70s, it all seems so quaint and innocent, you know? Back then, I remember all the normals insisting that Kiss stood for Kings In Satanic Service, and the rumor was that Gene kept elongating his tongue by somehow surgically adding to it everytime a family member of his died. Oh, and Alice Cooper (my all time fave) was just as bad.

A safe walk on the 'dark' side was exactly what it was -- especially with the 12" Action (Don't call them Dolls!) Figures.

Reading the Wiki link you sent got me laughing. The one eyed man stunt sounds particularly goofy. I think I was confusing Sal with Crazy Cabbie.

Ahh... now Tesco Vee... he was one of my major favorites back in the day. The Stud Power**** CD compilation is brilliant, especially all of the stuff from the Dutch Hercules EP. I'd list songs, but don't want my post removed, other than Wine, Wenches and Wheels, I don't think there's a non-offensive title in the bunch.

How old is Tesco, he's got to be mid-50s at the most, right?

I'm hoping. My one brother and I were 5 years apart, and we fought like pitbulls between 1975 to 1981 (but granted, a lot of that also had to do with some seriously warped family dynamics.) We're now the best of friends: he's my A number 1 drinkin' buddy and gun guru (although, thankfully, not at the same time.)

My little one is really on my hubby and me now: "I want a little sister!" So I'll be 40 with the sleepless nights, etc -- but I'm a triathlete, I've got the energy now! ;-)

Hmmmmmm, i’m gonna guess he’s in his early 50s. He used to be a school teacher, too, back in the day....
I’m really excited to “meat” him in a few weeks. I still look forward to going to punk rock/metal shows to this day... I love the energy and the excitement... I’m one of the “older” moms in my community but I’m by far the coolest:-) AND the most conservative even though i look the LEAST conservative....
ps...my son’s middle name is IAN; we named him in honor of Ian MacKaye from Minor Threat...YEAH!!!!!!!!!! (hate his politix but love his music)...

That's awesome. My husband would be all over that, being that he's a massive Minor Threat fan! We actually considered naming our child Henry in honor of Henry Rollins, my hubby's patron saint.

I'm one of the older moms in my moms group, too. I'm also the coolest (all of them are nice women, but soooo square--I'm the wacky free thinker). Ironically, I'm also the ONLY conservative (I guess the real rebels are the righties these days!)
