Could a graze on the head help cure baldness? Biologists had thought that once mammals lose their hair follicles, they are gone forever. Now George Cotsarelis at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia and his colleagues have shown that adult mice can regenerate follicles when their skin is wounded.

So Benny Hill’s slapping action on the bald guy’s skull was soo close to regrowing hair?

I’m going to use 60-grade sandpaper on my head and see what happens. It’s got to work better than Minoxidil. Cheaper, too.

About a year and a half ago I went into anaphylaxis at a restaurant. I passed out cold. On the way down I smacked my bald head on the the edge of the table and put a wound that went from my forehead backwards about 5 inches. No new hair grew back were there previously was none.

I have seen healed wounds do some amazing things. My mother chopped the tip and nail of her finger off with a lawn mower. When it grew back there wasn’t even a scar. I was absolutely shocked. Even the missing half of her fingerprint grew back correctly.

Maybe, but a bald man usually has not lost his hair follicles. They've just stopped producing hair.
