AMERICA - The Right Way!! (WEEKEND EDITION: Days 2262 and 2263) [Remember the Trade Center!!]
Various News Sources and FReepers | June 2, 2007 | All of Us

Posted on 06/02/2007 5:57:20 AM PDT by Chairman_December_19th_Society

As we settle into the nighttime of despair, fret not, for the Sun will rise again!!

Good morning!!

We, here, will never forget those who died on September 11, 2001, as we seek to protect the Republic from all who will do her harm!!

The beginning of the hurricane season in the Atlantic has taken place...

...AND...

TROPICAL STORM BARRY ADVISORY PACKAGE #3A

FIX TIME: 1200Z (8 AM ET)
FIX LOCATION: 27.1N / 83.5W (85 mi SE Tampa, FL)
FIX METHOD: SATELLITE / NEXRAD
VECTOR: NNE / 20 MPH
PRESSURE: 997 MB (29.44" Hg)
WINDS: 50 MPH (Minor TS)
TROPICAL STORM WIND RADIUS: 90 Mi

Discussion:

Think nor'easter.

The environment simply is not friendly right now for any significant enhacement to this system. It will come ashore in Florida around Tampa, exit Florida north of Jacksonville, and then hug the coast heading fairly rapidly to the northeast. Later in the forecast period, the east coast of the United States will experience what amounts to a late-season coastal storm. By that point, BARRY will have ceased to exist as a tropical entity anyhow.

In other news...

India's richest man, Mukesh Ambani, has designed a home for his wife, three kids, and mother, which among other things will be looked after by 600 live-in staff. Did I mention that it would be 60 stories tall?

Estimated price tag: $800 million.

For AMERICA - The Right Way, I remain yours in the Cause, the Chairman.

Good morning! Cloudy...may get rain.

We started rebuilding a section of a stone wall in the back yard yesterday. I hope we can finish it today.

John Stossel did a piece on Air Pollution. He had some of those same facts.

That one's a belly laugh!

Interesting headline here...because it's really an interview w/Fred Thompson: Bill Plante: Past Will Haunt Hillary

(Link doesn't work for some reason...if you can fix it, it's an interesting interview w/some colorful language by Thompson.)

Hi Toby! Well, remember this...all our yardwork is crammed into the months April-Nov...if we're lucky to have a warm Nov. Last year, I was even doing things outside in mid Dec!

You have more time to tackle projects, and more to do even in the winter months.

My yard works can last 12 months, not much to do in the winter time but warm enough to keep ‘somewhat’ busy.

Holy smokes, did you get up at o’clock thirty? You have accomplished a lot in the day.

I’m getting ready to cover a wing chair. That will be my day’s work.

Carolinamom, looks like you may be getting your rain?

Good Morning from the beautiful Oregon coast! I haven't been here in SO LONG! I have truly been busy. I have missed too many threads to back read :-(

I am going to church this morning and then I think I'll give myself the rest of the day off. Last weekend and all day Friday, I stripped my decks down to the bare wood. The riverside deck is 40' long and 10' wide with stairs and a landing so it was no small job. Yesterday, I put CABOT waterproofing on and the decks look AWESOME!!! I have also done my yard work for the week.

Some of you all know that I started losing weight in January in order to be healthier and possibly ward off being a "pre-diabetic". IT WORKED!!! My lab results indicate I am extraordinarily healthy. I'm counting my Blessings. I lost 26 pounds very easily and wonder if LEAN CUSINE might be interested in my story? HAH! I wasn't particularly over weight to begin with, but women my age can hide considerable pounds around our midsection.

Toby, send that Indian rich guy a picture of the family of 9 and their "home". I find showing off wealth dispicable.

Jesse Jackson's radio show today was all about how George Bush is RESPONSIBLE for Katrina damage. FINALLY, one lone fella called in and tried to tell the truth but it fell on deaf ears, of course.

Whoa!

We got our rain and them some. First the winds came which reminded me of dust storms because the ground was very dry. After about 20 minutes of dust the rain hit and lastest a little over an hour.

I bet we got 2-3 inches.

The soil was so dry there are few puddles. It soaked it up like a sponge.

Glad you got the rain, lysie.

We’ve had a beautiful sunshine day here today. Worked outside for a while this morning. Been pretty lazy the rest of the day.

Going to watch the debates?
